Congrats and good luck with your nickel build LiveLong.

Be prepared as there is a bit of a learning curve with nickel. I only do spaced coils as I seem to get more stable builds that way. I also do not dry burn nickel.
I couldn't agree more on all three points. Learning curve - yes, spaced coils - yes, no dry burning - yes. Once I started following those simple steps, I've had great success with nickel.

Oh, I'd throw in one more, tempered nickel - yes. I hope it becomes more readily available sometime soon.

Enjoying the first few nickel builds so far! I have been building coils for a long time but I followed Rip's video and it was a snap. It seems many folks dread building with nickel but I like how he puts it in a positive light, the wire is easy to mold and actually fun to work with. I hate leaky atties and especially don't want juice getting onto my Flask. I use the Subtank 25mm beauty ring with my atties to give me something to grab and to help prevent drips onto the device. I am still in that phase, like when you don't want to get your new cell phone dirty haha.

So far the Plume Veil and the Marquis are good in single coil. I actually am a Veritas lover and I think it is the best for leak resistance and of course killer flavor. I have the Rogue and Aeolus on the way, excited to try top air flow.

I did my first titanium wire coil tonight.

Grade 1.
24 gauge
2.5 mm ID
5/6 wrap
0.14 Ω

Temp set at 390 ℉
28 watts

Taifun GT 2.

It is a very sturdy coil. Easy to mount and wick. It is performing perfectly. Resistence is holding steady. It is reaching set temp but not ever going into TP. Vapor is thick and moist. Flavor is exceptional. Very clean.

I've been wanting to try both tempered nickel and titanium myself. Where did you guys get your wire from?

Vapor Flask with the new SX350J chip. Any chance of this in the future, for those that speak with them? The SXMini M-Class is just outstanding. But with 2 18650s and the ergonomics of the flask, I would be very, very happy. No more Evolv boards for me after using this SX350J for the last few days. Also, with 2 18650s, the Yihi chip is capable of 120W.

You have to run them in series to get 120w though, and you'd still be limited to 50J in temp protect mode.

I've measured mine, there's room (barely) to mill out the display area enough to fit a 0.91" display. The internal sled would have to be reworked to allow the larger/longer SX 350J Mini board to fit, there might be issues with the display ribbon cable being long enough and routing it, and there's the onboard USB to deal with as well, if you want to retain USB charging.
