Ok - I realize that the Vapor King is a different beast compared to the Ego. However....I do love the look of it. Can anyone compare juice and battery life to the Ego's and Riva?

Here are my thoughts... Riva is on sale right now at Vapor Junction for a GREAT deal....not pleased with the available colors though...pink, white, and black...but they look shiny and I like more of a matte color... Should a color make or break a deal

The Joye Ego's have a great color selection.

The Janty Ego is just that....the Janty Ego.

My husband mentioned when I showed him a picture of the Riva....that it looked like it was rather large... Now, I have never seen one of these in person... So I was like....I love the pen styles...or slimmer e-cigs...but it is a trade off...battery life, etc... Then he said - don't get it just because I said that...I'm sure it will be fine.... But, that has been a little issue all along...

Now....the Vapor King...sweet colors, sweet looking...probably not the battery life, etc. of the others... Plus - not as much vapor... Should say that I am talking about the Vapor kIng from V4L.

I smoke occasionally at work, in the car, and in the evenings....maybe 4 - 7 cigarettes a day...these are clove cigarettes I'm smoking. On the weekend, especially if I'm playing in a card game....I'm a chain smoker. If I go to Vegas with my friends....chain smoker...

So....that is my habit...what are your thoughts. I almost want to get both but that would probably be too much $$.

I'd say get the eGo (my preference goes to janty because of the warranty (6 months))..but the joye you're right you have more option of colors...and get a 510 to 901/808 adapter (and then you can use 808 cartomizers on it too (that's what the vapor king cartomizers are)...

as far as size goes...let me give you the break down... the standard batteries like the 510, or the vapor king, or even a regular cig are 9mm diameter...the eGo is about 16mm diameter (so about as big around as a AA battery)...and they're all close to 120mm long so between a 100 and a 120 style cig

I have an eGo, a Riva and the KR8 (Vapor King). I used the Riva for about a week, now my daughter uses it--love it! Battery life is excellent - 8-12 hours depending on how much you vape. The black finish is not shiny, but it's not exactly matte...it's very nice. The button is good...it's soft rubber. I was very surprised at the size! Very small, almost too short for me to hold comfortably (I have pretty long fingers).

I then got the eGo 900 mah battery. Again, love it. I got a blue one and a red one. The blue is beautiful...kind of a pearlescent(sp?) with a tinge of teal. The red is OK...totally matte with a rubbery finish. The buttons are...meh...hard plastic...could be better. The length of the complete unit is comparable to the KR8 XL battery with carto. The eGo 900 mah is only slightly better than the Riva 750 mah. Again, all depends on how long, often, whatever you vape. I always have 2 e-cigs going and get at least a full day out of both of them.

I've kind of set the KR8 aside since I got the eGo, but it is a very good e-cig. The battery life of the XL battery is, I think, like 350 mah, which converts to 4-6 good hours of vaping. The KR8 battery is a full 3.7 volts as compared to the 3.2 volt of the eGo. Makes a difference...the eGo without the cone does not hit as good as the KR8, IMO.

Welcome to ECF and good luck! Hope this helps.

Not the best pic but here, side by side:
Coke can (Duh!), eGo (Joye? I forget), Pink XL VK Manual Battery, Regular VK Auto Battery, Black 510 Manual Battery, eGo minus the cone/atty.
The eGo's really aren't as big as they look, can almost cover it completely with my hand.
Almost forgot to add: I recommend the eGo hands down over the VK batteries, just can't get any decent throat hit off them. The regular at least, IMO. Haven't tried any other versions of the eGo so, take my advice with a grain of salt. The 3 eGo batteries I have and a rubberized black coating, so yeah matte, not shiny. Clear button, lights up white when pressed. If you drip go for the manuals, if you never drip, go for an auto.

I started with the KR808 (aka Vapor King, Nebula), tried a few others, and now have settled on my Riva.

Re shininess...the Riva itself (excluding the gold-colored band) has virtually the same finish as the KR808 battery...not glossy or anything but a mild shine when you hold it up to light.

The battery life is much better on the Riva vs. the KR808, too. You can get a PCC for the KR808 to help with that, but I found I much prefer a longer-life battery to begin with.
