I believe its just very poor wording that would have came out more accurate if they had stated "it doesn't smell like smoke or burning tobacco", or "produces a very light and pleasant smell resembling your flavor of choice".

But they all do have a trace smell to them (even if it doesn't linger). I find the odor of most "tobacco" flavors resembles a vanilla or caramel hint.

I know I've certainly never had anyone complain about it being offensive or too strong.

I agree with smokum....some the advertising is inaccurate. I see "odorless" and "99% water vapor that only lingers for a few seconds". Both claims are bit off the mark. They do have an odor (although pleasant most of the time)...and as discussed in other threads, the vapor lingers much longer than seconds and therefore can't be 99% water vapor. I am not compaining at all. I am happy with the results I am getting, but I worry that if the government can't harass E-smoking on health grounds (FDA lost in court this week)....they might go for false advertising next. The things don't have to be perfect for people to buy the product, so no need to puff up (pun intended) their qualities.

Just saying....

I have to say what the wife is vaping is very strong and sometimes offensive .The smell does last for a little time . I vape as well but a different flavor than she does . To me it smells like a burning paper towel roll . It still is not as bad as smelling cigarette smoke though .

To me it sounds like your wife is vaping her carts dry until they burn? But maybe she's smoking a very high nic strong tobacco?

Not enough info but I've blown the vapor around some non-smokers and they say they smell either nothing or something like a "fog machine" smell like at a night club.

I guess another thing is our schnozzes are all different. Just like tastes. I HATE root beer. I bet if you vaped root beer flavor around me I might go 8-o.

I've had quite a few different flavors and kinds but haven't had anything smell untill I got this ry4 and it tastes and smells just like you explained a paper towel. I don't know if it's a messed up bottle or what but usually I don't get any smell to speak of.

I've read everywhere that vapor does not have an odor, but when I tested out my (crappy) SS Choice No. 7 the vapor had a very pungent odor. Not bad, just very pungent. Is this normal?

The cart that was on it was "tobacco" flavored. Should I expect any ecig will cause the vapor to have an odor?

I have been told by family members that the vapor I exhale smells like someone smoking a pipe. I was vaping in my car just yesterday with my father (who still happens to be an analog smoker), windows up because it was pouring rain, and he asked "Is that chocolate your vaping? Smells pretty good!" So, people around you can smell the vape somewhat, but it's more of a sweet, pleasant smell as opposed to the nasty burnt tobacco smell that analogs put out!

I've been told the flavors I vape smell like candy. Unflavored has no smell, but if I vape a lot in my closed office, the air will be a bit heavier. Seems ads will say anything they think will get you to buy. They often claim it is just water vapor we exhale too, and then the news feeds repeat that without looking into it. Wrong! Its glycerine or PG condensate we exhale, plus some flavors and trace nic.

Only juice I've ever had someone tell me smelled "bad" was LitecigUSA's Cigar. I hated that flavor myself, but at one point it was the only juice I had left (was a sample bottle tossed in an order). The smell didn't linger, but the vapor itself just smelled awful. Pretty sure it was just a bad batch/flavor.

Everything else most people actually enjoy, though I spend a lot of time around analog smokers. Once some chick at a party told me it smelled like cotton candy and kept trying to smell it in the air when I exhaled!

Total non-smokers are still a bit put off by "smoke" directly wafting into their face, but other than that I've had no complaints.
