Vapor4Life welcome mat...................

Brand new to all of this, just got my kit in the mail earlier today. Had a couple random questions.

(1) I've seen people talking about chain-vaping.. how much does that consist of? What I mean is it's easy to tell if you're chain-smoking with regular smokes, but with the e-cig I'm not sure what the "normal" amount to use in a day is. So far I've been taking one puff every 15 minutes or so on average. I'm still on the same cart I popped in around 12PM (about 12 hours later at the time of this post).

(2) I'm not getting much vapor at all when I exhale. Probably comparable to the amount of smoke you'd get from a half-lit regular cigarette. Does this vary by cart type? I'm currently using Nuport 11mg, smoked a pack a day of Newports for years so I figured it was a good transition from that to vaping. Maybe the small amount of vapor is because I'm not dragging on this properly? So far I've been treating it like a regular cigarette with how I pull on it.

Thanks for any help in advance.

@ bobby james,
I'm still very new to the e-cig world, but from what I have read, PG liquids can cause allergic reactions, in which case you should switch to VG. I've also read that VG will produce more vapor, but the PG carts that I am using are producing a good amount of vapor for myself.

@ larry138,
Welcome! With an analog cig, you'll get ~12-15 drags from one cig, so you can use that to base on how much your vaping. With one puff every 15 min for 12 hours, your cart should still have plenty of juice in it. You'll know when it's running low, because it will lose its flavor and have a slightly burnt taste to it.

As for the vapor amount, try taking soft, long drags to get the most vapor. If you are not getting much vapor by doing this, then there may be too much air getting into the cart (from the air holes near the threads of the battery). Try covering a couple of the holes when you inhale and it should work better.

Hi Everyone!

New Canadian regular analogs quitter here! Why the hell didn't I find these things YEARS ago?

Anyway I'm now the proud owner of the following, A Smoking Everywhere Gold One, (I know, I know, but they're what caught my attention), a 510 from Happy Vapor and 'Vapor King' from Electronic Cigarettes Inc., a E9 from E-Cig and this morning, I FINALLY ordered my Vapor King from V4L!!

Looking forward to receiving it and, from the sound of things, they're going to be my 'go to guys'!!

Thanks BornAgainst! It's nice to hear from another Torontian!

As for V4L, I placed the order yesterday morning and I received an email telling me it was shipped YESTERDAY.

Amazing.

Especially considering the Customer Service, (or lack thereof) at some of the others!

Looking forward to receiving it and I'll keep you posted!

Alright, I have a few more newbie questions.

(1) Any tips for determining when exactly a cart is tapped out? I feel like I'm guessing most times.

(2) Is it alright to leave a battery charge overnight? I run my single battery into the ground by the end of the day, and it needs a long charge. I usually just pop it into the USB charger and go to sleep, but when I go to use it in the morning the LED sometimes doesn't come on for a few seconds. Thought that seemed like a bad sign, but I don't know how else to charge this thing without being SOL on the nicotine front. I've ordered a second battery but for now I just have this one. Any tips, or just try to hang on til the second arrives and then alternate their charge cycles?

I am also new to this but I noticed that the taste goes away almost entirely when its out. If you are unsure you can put on a new cart and you should be able to taste the difference. Also there will be very little if any vapor when you exhale. One of my friends can usually tell because it tastes burnt to him. Im not sure about if charging the battery overnight will hurt it or not. I wouldn't think it would hurt but you never know.

larry, it took me about a week I think to stop scorching some cartos. And I went through a brief period (often reported by others, just a day or two for me, then it comes back full force) when all flavors lost all taste to me, so that didn't help.

Now I immediately recognize the loss of taste and the very slight toasty marshmallow undertaste. At first I was opening them up and pulling out batting to test my perception, and some were still way juicy and others were quite toasted. Then I was always right and that was that; a few wasted cartos. (A drawback to the carts with glued on caps.)
It just happens as you get used to them I think, and your tastebuds become more attuned. You won't be vaping until there's a really burnt taste - that's too long.
Turned a friend onto them last night, and at one point said, "That one should be about done, let me taste." It was done.
"I don't taste any difference", he said. He'll get it.
He was absolutely skeptical about the whole thing, a very set in his ways guy, by the way. LOVED it. He'll be ordering the UU kit. :thumb:

I always charge my batts all night; it's part of my nightly ritual. Others have reassured that it's no problem.

Welcome, and have fun!

Thanks a lot for all the help guys.

I went to a party last night where we couldn't smoke indoors, but I was vaping away happily. Within ten minutes I gave away all 8 V4L business cards I had on me. The one downside is that so many people wanted to try it that the battery died out. I think I may have converted a bunch of people so it was worth it.

After about 2 weeks of research I have finally decided to order an e-cig. Judging from everything that I've read, Vapor4Life was almost a no-brainer. I'm pretty excited to start vaping instead of smoking. I smoke a pack a day and went with 36mg cartomizers. I hope I'm not over doing it but I can always order a lower dose later. I was just nervous that I wouldn't get enough and switch back to the analogs. I ordered that Ultimate Ulimatum Auto Kit and got both menthol sampler packs because i smoke(d) Camel Crush. I am so excited to try this out and after reading through the forums I think I made a great decision to start with V4L. I just put in my order last night (Sunday March 7th). Does anyone know how long it typically takes before orders are processed and shipped? I anxiously waiting to get an email on my blackberry from V4L telling me they are shipping my order. I am so ready for this.
