That would be my suggestion, too. It's great to be able to charge via USB, but if you only have one mod then a pair of batteries and a charger is ideal. That way you don't have to worry about having to wait to vape! :) I get more than a full day of use out of the Pro with an LG HG2 in it.
Everyone should have backups for their backups :D

What was he mentioning about it? -- its just the dam thing wont recognize it ;\

Ive tried another usb cable beside the one vaporesso provided, wonder if the device is faulty?
He just mentioned it was a really nice USB cable.

I only have the Mini so I can't really help but does your computer recognize the mod when it's plugged in? Do you have drivers installed (are there drivers available?)?

Maybe go into Device Manager while it's plugged in and delete the device (might have an exclamation point in a yellow triangle next to the device). Install the software and then plug in the mod after the software is installed.

Do you have the update tool open? I found that without having the software open and active I get a USB error as well. It took me a little fiddling to get it to read the device at first but I seriously love all of the stuff you can do on there once it captures your mod. :)

Oh! I also had to change ports. I can't remember which one reads it right, the 2.0 or the 3.0, but try that as well.

Yep - different usb cables been used, its showing an triangle in the device manager, but theres no drivers being updated

edit - ive tried several computers as well, its showing the same thing. kinda odd.
There is no update yet that I am aware of, so you won't get that notification. You can customize it once it's being read, though.

Actually, i had it plugged in before i opened up the update tool software, i wanted to do some customizations, but the usb isnt recognizing the device, nor it wouldn't connect either. - this is whats popping up.

see attached.
You do need to have the tool open before you plug in the device, I think. I had the same problem. Closing and reopening the software and then plugging in the device should work. If you still have trouble, there is a "Connect" tab at the top of the welcome page. I captured a screen shot of mine. It's at the top just right of the middle.

Welp - After doing some messing around, i noticed when i turn off the vaporesso target pro, and plugged it in and open up the software, it can recgonize, and now im able to do some customization's - so guess that's how im gonna have to deal with the error and i can still do some fixings.

thanks to cooladdict for the suggestions, it worked somewhat

Anyone else having this issue? I have a bubble forming on the front of the lcd screen. I don't remember peeling off any protective plastic from the screen like most things have, and I'm affraid to try and peel it off if its not supposed to come off. @Beyond the Ordinary

Whoa! I just checked mine and there does appear to be a screen protector on it. I had no idea!

Did yours peel off? I may try and get confirmation from Vaporesso.

On a side note I noticed a new filename on the firmware program so I loaded up the new version and flashed the ?new? (it had a new name but didn't notice if the number changed) firmware. Looks like they lowered the TC resistance value on SS a couple points(EDIT: No, those were my changes). Something else is different too and I am not sure I like it yet. Before in SS TC mode with locked resistance the wattage numbers would jump wildy and now it seems to hold a steadier wattage but the temperature value flutters untill it reaches your set temp, then the wattages start to drop. I had to change from 480f to 440f. Things are probably more correct/acurate now and its giving a more valid readout I would guess. Just going to have to adjust to the change.
