yep, I agree with others here...low resistance coils is your problem! Needa get 2.0Ω or higher. Personally I prefer 2.4Ω or higher, with 2.8Ω or 3.0Ω as my prime spot.

I'm also going to suggest getting a better mod, something with a 18650 battery. When I first stepped into the realm of mods I tried several different 'Twist' type batteries (Vision, Joyetech, ESCO, etc.) and they were great at first...until I tried a 'Lavatube' style mod. Shortly after discovering how great the tube mod was I moved into VW with a VAMO and I will never go back to the Ego type batteries.

I think xjonquilx is talking about "PWM" or Pulse Width Modulator. This really does wonders for the "hit" on a PV, and I've gotten "hooked" on having it since someone gave me a VV Gripper. Before that, I didn't see much sense to the VV stuff because I was only using the Twist and the kGo VV. With those for my VV devices..no wonder I'd just as soon keep using my mechanicals and fixed voltage APVS. No comparison between those and a VV with PWM. It's a different experience.

Lots of reasonably priced VV APVs have the PWM. The VV Gripper at MV is certainly one choice, and you'd be surprised how nice the "box style" mod is to hold. There are others like the Zmax and I presume the VAMO and others. You don't even have to pay $100 to get a kit with most of them...and a big advantage to APVs with removable batteries is that you can just replace batteries when they wear out and not have to toss the whole device when it croaks.

Oh yeah...and db and others are right. You are using too low an ohm atomizer for a VV device. The MINIMUM to get a decent vape with VV is 2ohm...and that's very limiting as you can't really go over 3.2v or 3.4v max without burning. Best to go for 2.5 ohm or better yet 3ohm (standard) ..that will let you use pretty much a full range with your VV so you can find the "sweet spot".

Yup, that's it. The Pro calls it gradual power in the manual. As far as I know, the Vamo doesn't have it... I will be able to confirm once my kit arrives (if it arrives before I forget about this thread, hehehe... Chinese shipping, bleh). I haven't seen anyone mention it or demonstrate it in reviews/videos... it seems to just have variable wattage and volts and several display options and that's it. I haven't done too much research in to its availability on other devices, but I have not seen it on any < $50 devices, mostly the $70+ ones. I would love to find it on a cheaper device though so I can make that device my backup, so do link up if you know of any. If it takes standard sized 18650s w/o the nipple then I just need the body too, no kit.

I just checked out the Gripper and now I see why I didn't know about it... I haven't really looked in to the "boxy" type APVs yet. If there is a specific name for them, unfortunately I don't know it. Why don't you see them being sold very often? Is this an older style of e-cig?

In a sense the "box" style mod is "older" ...in that it's a style that has been used by modders since modders began, but it's certainly not "outdated". The Innokin MVP and the Smok Groove are "box mods". The VV Gripper, 3.7 Gripper, and the Ovale V8 are all "box mods". Not to mention Smoktek's Varicool and the assorted Madvapes box mods (both regulated and VV). There are also things like the REO and the VMOD which are both "box mods" and very popular...there are many more out there. The newest entry coming out is the Siglelei Tmax which uses a 18650 battery and has the Zmax chip for VV/VW (same functions/menu). Once people get over being confused about what battery it takes (there was a bit of a tangle originally, but Sigelei has redesigned the models being released for 18650s), I think it might just take off big time in popularity! I hope to be getting mine by the end of this month! (pre-ordered)

I like the "box" design. It's smaller and easier on my hands to hold. Plus it just looks cool. I got kind of worn out with tube style PVs. And they really aren't that comfortable to hold and use if they are the bigger type mods. YMMV. The box style is also a bit lower profile and lends itself better to stealth, and of course...there is NO way it can be mistaken for a cigarette! They are about all I use now.
Here's a pic of a few of mine:

The left and middle ones are Ovale V8 (the middle one is "full featured") and the one on the right is a VV Gripper. LOVE THEM!

This is a super-dumb question, but how are you guys typing the Ohm symbol?

I also see Hearts all the time on FB. How do you do this?

It's ASCII code. If you combine certain characters on a keyboard when entering data, they almost always will show up as those symbols. On Facebook, those are just emoticons.

My VAMO does not have pulse modulation. It does play MP3's though. :)

The least expensive method would be to wrap a higher resistance wick for your clearo. Or get a bottom coil like the T3, EVOD or VapeOnly.

Hmmm, I've used CE2 XL clearomizers, which have the bottom coil, yet have not experienced any kind of simulated pulse modulation.

Didn't say they did. Said the VAMO doesn't. The BCC's I mentioned may solve the OP's problem, that's all.
