Hi and welcome to ECF. Your Mini eGo fires @ 3.7 volts. With VV you can turn the voltage up or down to accommodate diff ohms delivery devices (holds and vaporizes the juice)= stronger hit. Also some juices taste much better at higher or lower voltage. There's also the + of long battery life.
So, the higher the voltage, the more strong the flavor would be? What about at 6 volts? Would it taste burnt?

the burnt taste you are asking about depends on your delivery device (top piece) ohms, the lower ohms with higher voltage can lead to a burnt taste yes... i see some folks with rebuildable genesis style tanks and atomizers that run sub ohm setups at 6+ volts with no problems. my sweet spot at the moment is a 2.2ohm genesis tank running at 4.6v, it varies from person to person thats the good part about a VV device you can "Tune" it to your liking

For most atomizers, yes. It really depends on the resistance of the atomizer you are using, if you search the forums you will find a chart with recomended voltage\resistance ranges.

With any delivery device you start off low on the voltage and move up until you find your "sweet spot" with that particular juice. I like a warm vape and use 1.8 ohms @ 4- 4.5 volts...too warm for many but perfect for moi.

lol not to worry, most of us that are here now started out as noobs.... it comes with the territory thats whats great about this forum, you can find almost any information related to vaping it just takes time to read through a lot of it and get a general feel for things

We were all there once mate. You'll pick it up real quick.

Basically the higher the ohms your top device has the more volts it will take giving more flavour and vapor.

Don't ask about watts yet and don't overdo the power too much. I blew two devices before I learned.

Again with a Lavatube, you would have to determine the ohm's of your top device and set the voltage accordingly. If unsure start with a low voltage and work your way up to a vape that satisfies you, then you can use this site: Online Conversion - Ohm's Law Calculator to help you find the same vape with a different top device.

Thanks for the advice guys! Another question what is the difference between a cartomizer and an atomizer?

Atomizer/ Atty- an element in a metal container with no stuffing on to which 3-4 drops of juice is dripped- usually used for testing new juices because Attys are easy to clean. There are some diehard Atty users because it’s the best vape possible but very time consuming.

Cartomizer/ Carto- metal tube with stuffing and element. Holds anywhere form 1- 4 ml of juice. Carto is fully saturated and must be occasionally refilled when juice runs out. My Cartos last 1-2 weeks. Best Cartomizer I’ve found is the Smok Tech XL 1.7 single coil. Boge 2.0 ohm cartos will give a cooler vape. Always use single coil cartos with 3.3- 3.7 PVs for the best vape.

Thank you Vapoor Eyes Er! So would a clearomizer be counted as an atomizer? Or a cartomizer since it has wicks? Or a whole different thing?

I would class a clearo under the heading "Tank" thus being a different (not whole different) thing. Let me try and explain as eloquently as Vapor Eyes.

Tank/Clearo. A self contained unit with a coil, wick and storage space for juice. The whole unit is one (but some can be rebuilt) and screws directly to your power source. Capacity for juice can vary from around 1.6ml to 6ml. Just fill it and vape.

Hope this helps and I await other more educated vapors to add/detract from the above.
