I love IBtanked. I broke one glass tube early on while drying it after a washing. The replacement tube was not expensive, only five or six dollars. I'm still using the original O-rings on my first tank nearly a year later. I've been using the sigelei every day since April, 2013. I bought a new V3 with the upgrades as a back-up last November.

If you had $200 and wanted to get a quality mod which one would you invest in? I've been using a Halo Triton setup, and I'm really wanting to get something that's going to give me a consistent performance from start to finish with both flavor and power. I've had my eye on the Provari (I know it's only VV but still), and the Futura. The Futura is on the high side of what I want to invest. Also the device I end up with will need to last, I just don't have the funds to put into a new mod every year. All suggestions welcome. Thanks

aww.. get a load o this

It is a box mod, but it's pretty damn tiny! Next to the provari, the VS looks considerably smaller. Per their site: "Pocket Size at 2.9 x 1.4 x 0.7 Inches". The 1200mah LiPo should last all day if your not running 30watts on a dripper! But, I wish it had a larger battery. 2000mah at least. Also, VS says you have to send the unit back for a battery change, and thats going to cost ya $25.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm leaning toward a Provari I think. I have $275 total set aside for the device batteries and charger. I really don't won't to max out my budget if it's not necessary. I like the Provari because from my research it seems you get equal performance from the very first vape on a new battery until the last vape you take and it's time to charge. I have also read the DNA powered devices also offer this type of performance with the added ability to vape lower ohm setups as well. I don't care for the way my current device starts off pretty good but get's weaker as the battery loses it's charge. As a side note I have never been on any forum where people were as friendly and willing to help as here on ECF. This truly is a great group of folks!

Provari is a rock solid buy, but before you commit, consider the two issues with current provari's
1: no "VW" (yet) ; (or maybe somebody makes a top attachment for kick module)
2: 510 threading only. (so far)

If you want plug and play type convenience you'd really like "vw" (power regulation);
And the 510 thread interface has many problems; the eGo threads are a much more solid hold on a topper, and don't interfere with the airflow.

    Talking DNA's when a person just wants to move up from a stick bat to VV or VW is kinda silly IMO. Probably only 1 out of 100 will ever have a need for 20-30 watts.

    First consentrate of finding something that will give you a good reliable all day vape. Once you have that, THEN you can go looking for toys to play with in your free time.

    Building the roof before you pour the foundation is a lousy way to build a house.

    My Provari was delivered five days ago, and is my first VV device. It makes a world of difference over the non-VV EVOD battery I had before. I scramble for a calculator (my phone) whenever I change to a different clearomizer, but now I'm intimately familiar with the formula.

    DesiredWattage = Volts^2/resistance. Remix it to Watts*Resistance = Volts ^2. A quickie with the square root button and you know what to set your device to.

    The Provari seems like it would be a killer device to own (pride of ownership, durability etc.). I keep going back and forth on price vs craftsmanship vs power capabilities. I have a feeling I'll eventually land on the Provari as well. I wish I could use a few different devices for like a month then decide, but that's just not possible. Decisions, Decisions...

    I see your point, however to me it's nice to know I have the extra power incase I do decide I want to use/need it.

    Not sure that I trust the auto Voltage adjustments on VW mods...
    It a pretty simple function to do. The VV/VW APV has a ohmmeter for the atomizer and a voltmeter for the battery already. The VW electronics calculate the wattage by Ohm's Law and adjust accordingly. It works. You can also adjust wattage up or down manually as you wish as easily as with VV.

    How do you set the Sigelei to auto voltage? I set mine manually, and it remembers the last voltage you setup when you change the battery.

    Despite what you asked about I do feel that the MVP would be very good for you. It will give you a rock solid foundation for a decision next year - by then maybe Provape will add VW and standard eGo+510 threading on newer product.

    Compared to the price of batteries, the MVP is a very good buy as a battery alone plus you have the convieniences of tube modes such as VW VV ohm measurement volts measurement plus you can use it while charging;

    And personally I believe if you get an MVP or other VW device you will find you don't want to take a step backward and get a VV only device. On the other hand if you get a vv only device and get used to it, you might just find it second nature after a while.

    You don't have to. You can just adjust the power up or down if you want; in any case most of them come with both so if you don't trust it you can just try it out and if you find it don't work then just use the vv instead.
