1 page back Mr Mann said that the vector cap fits on the stumpy.
Totally missed that. At this time, I have a Velocity and Aeolus (both clones) in my cart. I'd like to know if they will marry. Will the Aeolus cap go on the Velocity base? I'm not in a position to shell-out the money for a Stumpy at this time.

What I was after was whether the Aeolus or Vector cap fit on the Velocity deck. I'm looking to morph a top-flow with the 2-post like the Velocity or Stumpy. Thanks for checking that tho!
Gotcha, I missed that too. Velocity/Vector naming confusion lol

VapeRev has them for $70.00.

I have tried all the builds in this thread and not been able to get it to provide a good vape with my Vector. All I get is a very light vape with little to no flavor. No lung fill like I get with my Derringer or Stumpy.
I,m having the same results;hot ,harsh hits and little vapor.Am using 28g @.5 ohms or so on a REO.I'm a noob at dual coils and my little reomizer single is out performing the Vector. Not giving up though, will try a parallel coil next.

I'm surprised a lot of people's are getting hot, mines been at a .35 since I got it and mines never gotten hot once. Not saying yours isn't I'm just shocked, granted mines in a rotation of 3 other different attys and I've never really used it constantly all day so maybe mine would too.

I tried building my own coils on my Vector, but only had 28 ga Kanthal wire, and my first build was at .81ohm.

Tried again, messed up in my calculations, figured I needed *fewer* wraps to lower the resistance to around .5 ohm, so I build two coils with 5 wraps, and ended up with a build that had 1.18ohm!

Gave up, and went to the local B & M.

He did a build with 26ga wire, 8 wraps at 3.5mm (I believe), and it ended up at a resistance of .38ohm, and works FANTASTIC!

It's a cooler vape then my previous .56ohm build, delivers tons of vapor and great flavor, without being too hot!

I've ordered some 26ga Kanthal and a ceramic tweezer, but I'm so clueless with building! I would have thought a .38ohm resistance would have been hotter then my previous build at .56.... oh well, I'll wait to get the thicker wire, and then try again!

Received two Vectors yesterday (what can I say? I'm hoarding for the Vapocalypse). Built #1 today. Ripped out that goofy screen and threw on a 0.4 ohm dual Clapton/JOC build on my copper Smpl mod. This thing is pretty nice. Awesome machining quality. Great o-rings. Thick, luxurious vapor with lots of flavor. No spit back even w/o the screen. Easy-to-work-with build deck with grub screws. Make sure the non-adjustable center post is tight or it'll spin. Center pin protrudes, but not a lot - kinda sketchy on my hybrid mod. Would prefer a 510-compatible top cap or a Delrin wide bore, but the built-in SS tip is ok. Gonna throw it on my Sigelei 150 in a bit and vape it hard all evening.

All in all, not bad. I prefer my new Velocity, but this is probably in my top 5 for how I vape right now.
How could the center post spin, it's got a square insulator. Btw, I own one and I'm seriously surprised you're not loving it. I've got an embarrassingly extensive rda/rta/sub ohm tank collection, but the vector has rocketed to the very top almost instantly, it's just gotten me spoiled with all of the great features it brings to the table, the leak proof (virtually) design, the incredible flavor, the ease of building on, the dense and plentiful clouds, the exceptional machining and aesthetics. IMO, it's basically a flawless device. The only minor Niggle (spl?) I can level against it is that it does tend to be prone to spitback, but I dunno, that may just be a concession you have to make when vaping on an atty this short in stature, with this wide of a drip tip...
All in all, this is the best rba I've purchased in my four years of vaping, couldn't be happier

I got a Delrin vector cap from Tom at TMOD Customs and it helped cool down the tip and the vape a noticeable amount. It also fits any regular tip I have so that's another plus.
I see why that would obviously cool down the tip, but why the Vape? The bore is already huge on the standard cap, soooo is this like a chuff cap or something?

Omfg, please tell me this is real and I'm not having some over-nic induced fever dream...? Ahhhh I need this in my life lol

I got one last week from Tom (without the drip tip cause I'm stupid and didn't order it.) Haven't used it yet because my build is at .58 dual 28ga and not hot. Drop him an email...

Maybe to you yes. But to most they hate metal tips, and you'd be surprised how many people don't even use the air flow control anyway. That's why as stated in my post, I said it wasn't for everyone as you would lose the air flow. You wouldn't be "forced" to do anything if buying it or not buying it, I mean it's pretty obvious what it does. I don't see how you would lose the leak proof part by not using the stock drip top either, its still top air flow and hard to leak as is, adding this tip wouldn't affect that either way. And this is far from a masterpiece, if that were the case all of us looking for a delrin tip would already have one, that would be a masterpiece. That and I don't see how adding this tip would turn this into any old side air flow rda either, it's not like the top air flow magically maneuvers from the top to the side as soon as you ditch the top cap lol but hey like I said its not a solution for EVERYONE just some, and that's fine with me.

im sorry, I misunderstood, I thought you were saying it was another top cap that fit the vector and had a delrin drip tip, so I was thinking it was like a standard cap that would block off your top airflow forcing you to drill new airflow lol
Totally my mistake, again I'm sorry. If I recall correctly it was pretty late or I hadn't slept the night before when I was replying to your post, which might help explain my ridiculous misunderstandings of your posting. I'll try and work on upping my reading comprehension in the future lol.
Cheers and happy/safe vaping = ]

Will it only fit that drip tip or will it accept any standard 510 drip tip? I'd love to be able to use my dot mod friction fit, it's seriously such a comfortable drip tip, I just adore it. Regardless though, even if it only works with that tip I still think it'd be worth it. Thanks

I wasn't trying to nitpick, or be a douche, I was just trying to clarify/understand which atty you were referring to...

Oh, I know. It's confusing because when people saw the images it just began being known as -- and rightfully so -- the Aeolus Mini of the Aeolus v2.

I don't get it? I have had zero problem vaping off the standard top cap. .2 ohm builds....nothing.
Do you chain Vape though? The issue doesn't really come up with single hits in my experience, but really shows up when you are taking back to back 4/5 second draws, then she'll be heating up and getting fairly uncomfortable for your lips.

I'll check tonight with a regular tip.

If your talking about the delrin top cap for the vector yes it takes any regular 510 drip tip. I got mine last week.

Question for all you guys. I've been vaping on my vector for the past week and I've noticed that juice has been leaking through the 510 connection onto my battery. Whenever I take the battery out of my SMPL, I usually find juice on the positive connection of the battery. Has anyone had this happen to them? I'm guessing the insulator around the middle post is letting juice slip through. Anyone have any ideas how to fix it?
