I definitely want to try VCV, likely this week. I have been slowly moving towards all VG or at least high VG liquids more. Any juices, you all recommend as a first sort of must try?

It happens!
I've found myself twice having over 600ml.. Probably more like 650ml..
(I believe RuDawg was over 1 liter at one point! But a half-liter was Unflavored..?)
It's the sales that get you.. I guess it's easy to get caught up in it all..
Then one day you look in your juice cupboard, and you're like, "Aww.. ish"
Of course, both those times had staggered purchase dates, and a good chunk of it was Unflavored..
Was creepy how it sneaks up on you, though.. And what makes it worse is if you're cutting back nic levels during all this..
I've got a bunch of VCV right now.. But I should be okay, as long as I'm mindful to vape up the flavors that go first...
I really want to dive deeper into DIY, but I can't right now...![]()
I don't know.. maybe I'm crazy, but I don't think having three 120ml bottles of eliquid laying around is excessive.
Yo Dawg..
It would be interesting to hear of any more that you experienced any flavor degradation with around the 2-month mark (or even before/after)...
Mine usually don't last that long, but thanks to over-ordering in the past, I've had a handful that reached that point & had started going downhill, including..
Night Shift
Nutty Cookie
Ice Beard (flavor actually got even better, though the clouds got too stinky)
Catherine the Grape
Flavors that hit the 2-month point, and were still fine..
Sour Skittles
Harvest Berry
Vanilla Custard (I think it was still getting even better!)
Unflavored![]()

The only problem ive had with VCV is the juice just eats coils. Esp Mewlews magic. Ive never had a coil last more than a few days in my aspire et-s bdc.
Has anybody had bad experiences steeping VCV juices with the cap off ( not the nipple just the cap ) for around 2 weeks where it may start to loose flavor.
One of my bottles that I steeped with the cap off itsnt tasting as good as the others. I just wanted to know if anybody else had this problem or if its just in my head.![]()
Really depends what you're interested in & what you like..
For the tobaccos, my favorites are Ice Beard, White Beard & Vanilla Tobacco...
For the fruits, my favorites are Catherine the Grape (though I think they might have changed the recipe recently, according to color changes & to my tastebuds), Strawb-Gwab & Sour Skittles.. Honorable mention to a fresh Summer Sweet.. All the fruits are pretty good, actually...
For the desserts, my favorites are hard to say.. But probably Mewlew's, Vanilla Custard & Monkey Business.. Shout-outs to Campfire & a fresh Night Shift, too...
Whatever you get, just keep in mind that they'll probably need to steep (caps on!) for a few days to a few weeks.. Give 'em a try on the 1st day, but they will improve for a while (until they start to degrade after a while)
What are you using for vape equipment? Some toppers bring out the VCV better than others...
Chocolates are coil-killers, unfortunately.. No way getting around that..
The fruits aren't as bad.. And obviously unflavored goes the easiest on them...
I use top-coil iClears for clearos, so I'm able to rinse / dry-burn / rinse again.. Helps maintain the coils & keeps my costs lower, and don't have to replace coil-heads as often...
Not sure if you're able to do that with the specific Aspire heads you're using..
Quite a few VCV ECF'ers use an RBA & side-step all that expensive nonsense...
As for steeping VCVs, no cap off!
EDIT: You're just going to degrade the juice, as you've already found out the hard way..
Leave everything on, and just keep the bottles in a cool, dark, dry space.. Give 'em a good shake every now & then, and you're good to go...
What toppers do you like with VCV? I am always looking to get more stuff and branch out.
The only problem I can foresee is that im so used to the taste of Mewlews magic from the Aspire tanks, im worried the Pt3 wont be able to replicate that same flavor for me.
...
How long do you think it takes the juice to degrade with the caps off????
I can't speak for how VCV performs with the ones you use.. You might have to play around a little with what you have..
I just never got into the more expensive toppers.. I'll use a $215 ProVari, I'll DIY my own juice, use AW batteries & an XTAR VP1 charger.. but I'm just fine with the Innokin iClear 16 & 30, at $4 & $11, respectively...
Tried a bunch of clearos, but stuck with those two.. And the 16 puts out some really great detailed flavor, which apparently rivals some good RBAs...
Maybe one of these days I'll get into RBAs, who knows..
Enjoy your first VCV order!
No idea about the degradation, but I'm sure some irreversible damage has been done.. You might be able to revive it somewhat by mixing some fresh VCV with it.. Test a small amount first to see, so you don't waste any good new juice..
Eh, it happens, don't beat yourself up over it.. There's a learning curve with vaping, and you're going to make mistakes & waste a few bucks along the way.. We all go through it...
As for toppers, yeah, you're going to get different flavor/taste results with different ones.. I've already been down that road with clearos...
Honestly, the best I've used, all-around, is the Innokin iClear 16, surprisingly.. Price, flavor, portability, longevity, maintenance, works well with VCV, etc.. Has its quirks, but gets the job done pretty well, overall..
With regular dry-burns & rinses, I can usually get a good 40+ 2ml-fills from just one coil-head..
Here's a decent video on the process.. Though I do some things differently (would have done it sooner, like every 5-10 fills, depending on the flavor.. rinsed the head again after the dry-burn, doing it under the stove exhaust, etc.)...

How are the iclear 16 compared to the iclear 30?
Ive noticed my 3mg Velvet stuff is really making me hack a lung up, what gives?
Ive noticed my 3mg Velvet stuff is really making me hack a lung up, what gives?
- You vape the same amount between fills.. Just about 2ml for the 16 (over-fill to 2ml, vape down to pretty much 0), compared to 2ml for the 30 (fill to 2.5ml, vape down to 0.5ml)..
- The 16 doesn't guzzle (waste) juice like the 30.. Vaping 10ml per day through a 30 is pretty easy to do..
- 16 is less expensive, same for the replacement heads.. However, the 16 body does break down & leak after a while.. the 30 body holds up better over time..
- A loose/unattached 16 doesn't leak when you're away from home for the day, like the 30 does.. At most, a loose 16 might leak a drop.. But I keep a few of them in a small ziploc bag, just in case.. Easy to carry a handful of flavors with you, nice & compact..
- The flavor of a 16 is much better than the 30.. You can pick out all the individual notes pretty easily.. Sometimes, it's almost overwhelming, so I vape VCV tobaccos from a flavor-muting 30, instead..
- I like the delrin (plastic) mouthpiece of the 16 better.. Don't like metal.. But the 16's is a bit skinny & short..
- The 30 can get a lot more gurgly/flooded than a 16.. And can't really lay it on its side, like you can a 16..
- A 16 is capable of dry hits.. But as long as you rest it on its side when the juice is low, or spin it horizontally a little from time to time to make sure the wicks are coated, you should be fine..
- Juice can collect around the mouthpieces of both, but just unscrewing it lets the juice go back down..
- Really good quality control on the 16 replacement heads.. A little worse for the 30.. I think I've gotten only 2 bad 16 heads in the past 7 months?
- Vapor production & hit are about the same, but 30 has a small edge..
- 16 has quicker & easier maintenance..
- I can (and do) have a boatload of flavors going in a bunch of 16's at the same time, really cheaply.. I have 9 going right now..
Enough comparison?
Anyway, keep in mind that these are inexpensive clearos.. They work well, but again, they're inexpensive clearos.. A 16 will run you $4-$6.. A 30 goes for $11-$13.. Even cheaper through FastTech.. But every topper has its pros & cons.. They work great for me, so I'd just rather spend my money on other stuff.. I also have large & thick hands & fingers, so I'm not sure coil building is for me..
Pick up 2 or 3 iClear 16's if you want, along with an equal number of replacement heads (I like the 2.1 ohm better).. Would run you $15-$20.. Throw 'em in your next order for whatever.. If you really hate them, they're not going to break the bank..
(Note: Get the original iClear 16.. I tried & hated the 16B.. and the 16D is rare & doesn't look to be all that great, either..)
