I feel you guys on the drinking and smoking. This past week was my boyfriends birthday so we had a drink and bought a cigar (something we did occasionally so I wasn't really worried about it) and GROSS. omg it tasted like straight up ash tray. I guess I'm just lucky that even with drinks in me the real deal just isn't the same anymore.

Backwards juice!

Typically flavors taste better to me in an iClear 16 than in an iClear 30..

Will have to re-test to confirm once I get an open 30 so I can do a side-by-side comparison, but seems like Ice Beard doesn't taste as good in a 16.. too much tobacco, and barely any menthol

For some reason, seems like the 30 mutes the tobacco, and brings out the menthol more -- which I like a good deal better for this one

Odd.. :?:

I'm on my second bottle of BB. This one steeped for about three weeks. It is slowly becoming one of my top flavors.

Something happened in just 24 hours with my Blue Beard.. the honeyness seems to have dropped way down, bringing out the tobacco more

It's growing on me a lot more because of that :headbang:

Still having trouble with the berry aspect of it.. lots of stuff can happen with further steepage, but I'm fine if that never gets stronger

At this point, I think it's hit my #2 VCV tobacco spot.. Burley's good so far, but sometimes a little too bold/strong & not always in the mood for that

Yeah, Blue... add another one to the bigger-bottle re-order list, LOL..

They having another sale soon? :D

I skipped the Vday sale, but the Pday sale got me!
120ml of Vanilla Tobacco @ 12 mg (thinking ahead to drop from 18)
15ml of Chocolate Pudding @ 12 mg
Asked for Campfire for my sample @ 12mg (I've said I'm not a s'mores fan, but, I do like AiV's 15 Foot Falls, so why not try it?)
Also picked up 120ml of unflavored @ 12mg (wanna start cutting what I have @ 18 to work towards 12)

I requested a Chocolate Pudding sample.. agree that a heavy chocolate isn't an ADV, but there are times where you want a big chocolate taste.. saving Campfire for a sample in a future order, let us know what you think!

So did you calculate price per ml with this order? Include the sample! Sale + unflavored knocks it down, eh?... My PDay order came out to like 30 cents/ml -- of course like half of that was unflavored, LOL

The step down from 18mg to 12mg isn't bad, so you might not even have to cut it much.. maybe do the straight 12 the last couple hours before bed

I've been ordering only 3mg recently, gradually introducing it.. believe it or not, 6 seems to be a little too much sometimes now

I will certainly report back!

I did not calculate price per ml. Never have. I just know it's much cheaper than analogs and that's good enough for me!

I started with 12mg, wasn't doing the trick to get me off analogs. Hoping the transition down goes better.
I do want to step it down before bed, too often 18 effects my sleep patterns.

I always do.. I'm curious to how much I'm spending on daily juice..

Plus different vendors have different prices & different-sized bottles, as well as sale prices, free samples, shipping, etc... Not to mention throwing unflavored into the equation

Calculating cost per ml puts every brand on a level playing field...

Okay, here's something out of left-field...

I think earlier somebody mentioned a neti pot

I've got something similar for sinus flushes, but it's a squeeze bottle

Can even get the starter kit at a pharmacy pretty cheaply.. comes with the bottle & packets of the powder to mix with heated-up distilled water

Operates a little differently than a neti pot, but the result is the same (water out the other nostril, LOL.. and no, this might not be for everybody)

Anyway... I've got one laying around, so I used it earlier today for the 1st time as a vaper..

What's this have to do with VCV? Although it seems "cleaner" than non-VCV juices, it's still got the heavy VG

I exhale out my nose a lot (taste more flavor that way).. and I'm sure over time too much VG can gunk up your sinuses since your body might not be able to "keep up"

Result? My sinuses feel a heck of a lot better.. Going to be doing this every day from now on :)

So I just started on my bottle of Night Shift. 6mg on a 0.25 ohm dual vertical coil cotton build on my Zenith RDA. OMG! It isn't even steeped fully according to what I've read, but damn! So tasty! Gotta get a huge bottle of this. My question: any problems with VCV juices in a Kayfun Lite Plus? I prefer to use them for work.

Now I have compared cost per ml to compare costs over different vendors.

Hey, VCV folks.. Just want to give a heads-up & word of caution...

Up until about 30 hours ago, both my eyes were really bothering me.. red, watery, itchy eyes, along with puffy eyelids

Had been going on for a while, maybe 10 days.. 1st thought it might be due to being in contact with fiberglass insulation.. then a few days later, maybe it was due to getting a haircut (& getting little pieces of hair in my eyes)

Then the whole Bob Costas thing.. shoot, maybe I have viral conjunctivitis (pink-eye)! Some similar symptoms

But you know when this started? I had to check my past posts here, since I got it as a sample, but it all started happening when I first started vaping Candy Bar... Had been vaping probably about 1ml a day, every day, until yesterday afternoon when I finally put 2 & 2 together... peanut vape allergy!!

Stopped vaping it, took some Benadryl.. sure enough, fairly instantly, my eyes are about 95% better now

Weird thing: Even though these can be the symptoms, I don't have a peanut allergy! At least when it comes to eating them -- apparently vaping them is a different story (yes, VCV uses real peanuts for Candy Bar)

A similar thing happened to me a few months ago.. with a non-VCV clove juice... I used to smoke clove cigs every now & then, never had a problem. Clove e-juice? My eyes were fine, but my hands started swelling big-time & was getting itchy skin (precursor to hives)

With Candy Bar, I noticed certain parts of my skin were getting itchy, too (but no hives or swollen hands)

So yeah, allergic conjunctivitis.. Could be something else, but I'm very certain as the timing matched up perfectly, it was all the symptoms, and all the cures (remove allergen, take Benadryl, symptoms rapidly disappear)

In a couple weeks I might try to replicate this.. you know, in the name of medical science, and if I'm feeling particularly stupid, LOL

I vaped about 10ml of 15ml over 10 days or so, but might just chuck the rest, along with that clearo (even though it's been washed & dry-burned)

No big loss -- Candy Bar is so far my least favorite, LOL.. too peanutty & caramely a vape for me

So, keep that allergy thing in mind -- with any brand or flavor of juice... I haven't had any issues with the, I don't know, probably 15 other VCV flavors I've had... But doesn't mean it couldn't happen to somebody else -- these are natural ingredients they're using, after all...

did you check the pollen count during the days you had puffy eyes? do you have any other allergies? maybe there was something else causing it and just coincident?

I haven't experienced this with candy bar. the more it has steeped the more caramel has come out but haven't noticed much else beyond the flavor maturing. not arguing against you personally but I not sure how a vaporized e-liquid would cause an allergic reaction to something you're not allergic to.

However, I'm not a doctor.

Pollen count has been extremely low, per interwebz research

That's fine, totally understand.. I couldn't connect the dots for 10 days. I've only had 2 allergic-reaction episodes to food in my life.. once when I was a little kid (tried strawberries for the 1st time & ate a bunch, broke out in hives as I was eating them.. yet never been allergic to them since, edible or vapable).. and several years back was eating at a buffet, broke out in hives & swollen hands later that day (never figured out what it set it off)

Only other e-juice was the clove, as I mentioned.. Was never allergic to clove cigs years ago

And I've never had problems with eating/touching/smelling peanuts all my life.. last time I ate them was probably a couple months ago, was perfectly fine

Adults can develop allergies at any time in their life

Remember, vaping is still fairly new.. lots of stuff we don't know... Ingredients that are considered "GRAS" (Generally Recongized As Safe) by the FDA is only meant for consumption -- not necessarily for vaporization & subsequent inhalation

I was vaping indoors in front of a computer all day.. vapor sticks around longer than you think... And that vapor was just sitting in front of my face... Exhale in front of your monitor, and that stuff is coming right back at you... lots of tiny peanut particles. I also tend to exhale slowly through my nose.. affecting mostly my eyes is not a stretch.. I'd consider that a mild reaction, given what can happen sometimes at a more severe level

Candy Bar, at least my bottle, is fairly potent in the peanut dept.. it's the dominant flavor, and can really stink up a room with it, LOL

When I started putting 2 & 2 together, I did a boatload of research on peanut allergies, all the types of conjunctivitis, etc. There's just too much "coincidence" with the timing, the symptoms & the cures

I might try vaping it a little in the future, just to confirm.. but I really don't think I need to.. I'm pretty convinced

It's just one of those things.. I now know to stay away from any juices that use cloves or peanuts.. not a biggie, not a lot of them out there, anyway.. and not exactly my favorites to begin with

And I'm certainly not blaming VCV.. They've even got a disclaimer there for Candy Bar

I'll continue to buy VCV, and even try new flavors.. but just thought I'd throw it out here for others who might run into a similar situation...

Anyway, I should start a thread to see if others have experienced any allergic reactions to any juices...

respiratory allergies are indeed separate from food/skin contact allergies.

Thanks for the confirmation.. will have to look into this more

Like I said, a lot of this vaping stuff is relatively new, with more & more people hopping aboard.. Unless somebody works where they're in a position to breathe in certain vapors, people aren't even aware that they're respiratory-allergic to certain things -- unless & until they vape them

I don't think this happens to many people, but it does happen.. I just happen to be one of the "lucky" ones who has found it with two flavorings (so far?)

The clove reaction was more concerning.. my hands were swelling up so much so fast that they couldn't function properly and they HURT!

Honestly, I think every vaper should have some Benadryl (or equivalent) on hand, just in case.. Apparently also drinking apple cider vinegar (the dark, raw cloudy type stuff with "the mother" -- like Bragg) can calm down certain allergic reactions

Anyway, VCV is Out for Delivery!
