Lets say I had enough vapeing for a little while but my cart is nearly full still (just put a new one on minutes before and something came up)...should I leave the cart on and just lay the thing down on the table, or should I stand it up in some kind of holder, or does it matter? And should I take the cart out or could I just leave it in?

Thanks in advance:)

PS: I just got my unit today and it say to charge until the green light comes on...about eight hourse first time, but it only charged for about 20 minutes and the green light came on on both batt's...were these things possibly precharged...and it was also blinking green once in awhile while charging until it was totally green...is that normal?

I store my pv's ( joye 510 and ego) with the cart on, and sometimes I leave it upright and sometimes laying down. for upright I use a salt shaker...and for laying down I got a cheap corn cob "plate" it has sides but it's long - I didn't like them rolling around when they were laying down. I am not sure about the battery charging, maybe someone else will answer that. I think blinking green once in a while while charging is OK.
hope that helps

Congrats on getting your new ecig :) I lay mine down sometimes, if I'm coming back to it. Otherwise I unscrew my carto and pop it in my case with battery and drop it in my bag/purse if I'm out and about. I wouldn't worry unless it's a leaky tank set up

It's ok to leave the cart on for a few hours or so. If it was going to be for a more extended time, say, a day or more, I would remove them and put one of those little rubber caps on it. I never took mine off the atomizer, even overnight. I would just lay them down on some table or dresser that they wouldn't roll off of. I think that keeps them from being flooded in the morning.

As for the battery charging...most batteries come with a partial charge. I have never left new batteries on the charger for the 8 hours that they recommend because it's not necessary. Once the light turns green, the charger stops charging anyway. At least it's supposed to.

The intermittent blinking to green is normal for Joye Ego batteries. Other brands may not blink. For instance, Riva batteries on the same charger remain steady red until they are fully charged. And on some Riva batteries the led switch light also comes on during the charging process, and turns off when the charge is complete.

SmokeTek Ego batteries do something completely different. They blink almost imperceptibly, not long enough to turn green. When the charge is complete, the light turns green and the button LED blinks for 10 seconds.

That's good but I might get some strange looks with a purse.

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

I may be wrong here as my experience with this specific application is non-existant, but with many appliances that use Lithium Ion and other batts it is essential that that first charge be 100% complete or the usage and long term life of the cell will be compromised. If you were able to sit and watch the light for the entire 8 hours of recommended initial charge time you would see it occassionally flicker or change to whatever colour it goes to while actively charging.

Also, even though the charge light may show that it is fully charged (green) it is actually recieving a kind of trickle charge which more or less "teaches" the cell just what a full charge really is. If you diconnect too soon on the first charge it will "learn" that a short charge is a 100% charge and never really last very long between charges and will wear out prematurely. I would wait for the full 8 hours, or better yet, leave it charging overnight.

Hope that is helpful.
