So, a random idea just popped into my head while typing up a different post. I was thinking, that if blue and green lasers can produce a lot of heat, I wonder if it couldn't be used to vaporize the liquid instead of using heated wires. Put it in a tank system, and call it the Lazermizer. Probably not very economical as I'd bet it would require a massive battery and lots of electronics so that it couldn't be handheld. Just a thought.....

not necessarily true with the power expenditures, think about devices that ran powering lasers for years before the superior battery technologies of today came about: CD players. with that knowledge, and the further knowledge that there are superior lasers that you can buy, it may just be possible...the issue is the cost of the laser...as a CD player used a red beam laser, the strongest consumer laser you can get (to my knowledge) is a blue-violet laser, which could run up to around 60-80 bucks depending where you can find them...which just seems kind of much for a newfangled cartomizer that might not work

other than all of these issues, glaring issue that i see with it is containment, as a laser of that grade with that kind of power wants to go in a straight line as far as it can,and whatever container it was in, it would have to be pointed at some inanimate object to prevent exposing the user to laser radiation (aka destroying the user's retinas), and running at that kind of heat, it would probably end up self-destructing itself

I think that that would have a few complications
The amount of regulations, and approval that it'll have to meet. With lasers, there are many "issues" that present themselves because of the dangers of them. From their extreme heat to the amount of radiation that they emit, as well as their power to blind, and burn skin.
I'm not saying by any means that it isn't possible, although it will require a voltage regulator for different fluid percentages, which would thus require a fairly large amount of testing as well as approval, and knowledge in the products that you're using. Another issue with it would be branding, pricing, and getting a manufacturer to agree to partner with the company attempting to build this.

Along with those issues are the iissues of using another companies laser in your testing products, and the ones that you submit to patent offices, and such. There is a HUGE process that would be required for something like this, but IF it kicked off; it could be VERY profitable as most people don't trust the wiring/solder in their e-cig atomizers, cartomizers, and clearomizers.

Then after that, maybe we can build a light saber and fight off the evil empire lol

I think that may be part of the process in building this. You'd have to find a way to control the light beam's length so it didn't go on forever, which, if you can figure that out, means you've invented the light saber :)
