A co-worker bought a PT2, at my suggestion, and has it mounted on an eGo-C battery with a 1.8 ohm coil. He's experiencing very light, airy draws, and minimal vapor production. We noticed that there's about a .5mm gap between the bottom of the tank and the top of the beauty ring. We suspect that this is the root of the problem. When using a disposable clearomizer, which looks very similar the Stardust, he's not experiencing this issue and gets plenty of vapor. I put his PT2 on my eGo-T battery and the aforementioned gap is noticeably wider. Has anyone else run into this issue? If so, what was the "fix"?

Thanks

I have a similar question regarding the Mini Protank II that I recently received. The draw is airy. There are three holes in the beauty ring that came with the Mini and I plugged one off to see if it affected the draw. It did! My question is, can one (or two) of the holes be plugged or covered to increase the draw without hurting the coil, etc.? Thanks.

Simplest fix is use the dental floss technique:

Wrap a piece of DF around 2 of the 3 holes on the 510 connector, arrange the floss legs in a way that they leave the 1 hole open and trail out in the airflow grooves if possible.

Hold the floss tails with your thumb (see pic) screw it onto the ego/beauty-ring till it seats, and snip the floss with fingernail clippers. Should tighten it up significantly.

*EDIT* Simplest NON-PERMANENT

Yes, you'll be fine.
