What hurts TH in general is the low nic. However, i just tried it again this AM and TH seems to be a little better. Flavor also seems to be a little bit better. Maybe i just need to let it steep.

As I went down from 24mg to 3mg I actually tried 0mg at one point. Throat hit disappeared completely at 0mg. It's interesting that I can detect the slight tongue tingle with 3mg, but it's there and I missed it a 0mg.

I'm an 80pg/20vg vaper that sometimes does 70pg/30vg or even 60pg/40vg on occasion.

My wife vapes 0mg but she's never smoked. She just does it to keep from snacking. Try menthol. Totally Wicked makes a good double menthol. the coolness on the throat somewhat mimicks a TH so it can be a good compromise.

On another note regarding flavor, i noticed that it can be challenging to find a decent cola flavor. Sometimes i get a strange, what i call "medicinal" flavor when i order cola from a new vendor. I got it when i ordered from Heavenly Blue Vapor about 2 years ago. That's what i'm getting from the stuff i just mixed. Still don't know if it's the nic, the PG or the flavor itself. Guess i'll have to experiment.

Another question about flavorings. Can anyone recommend a good HEALTHY cherry cola flavor? I'm concerned about safety as i understand the biggest risk healh-wise is in the additives/flavorings. I will sacrifice some flavor for health reasons if i have to.

Hangsen Cherry Cola is the only flavor I have tried... Mainly because I think it is perfect the way it is. Really authentic, and has a good cola flavor without being too spicy.

You could try adding some Flavour Art Flash. It isn't a flavor per se but an additive specifically to add throat hit. Although if you are truly using 100% PG I can't believe you don't have enough TH. I use 50/50 myself but a long time ago I tried 100% PG and it nearly ripped my throat out!

Yeah but you probably vape at a much higher nic content than i do. Nic has a lot to do with TH. I'll look into that flash. Maybe i'll add a little VG for vapor and add the Flash to make up the TH. Sounds like some more experimentation in store for me.

I"m also going to try different PGs. I think that's probably the biggest issue with the flavor as most of the liquid is from the PG so it makes sense to me.

Agreed that more nic equals more TH with other things being equal. I started at 24mg and I am now down to 12mg. I vape mouth to lung so I am still using more nic than most direct lung users.

I may be more sensitive than most to the "irritating" effect of PG but I can't abide pure PG even at zero nic. I need to add at least 10-20% VG before I can comfortably vape regardless of the nic level.

I currently have a small bottle of FA Flash but TBH I haven't tried it yet since I don't have an issue with TH with my current level (12mg/ml 50/50). I just threw that out there since Flash is made for the purpose of increasing TH.

I don't have that issue. I hear some people are allergic to PG. Maybe that's why you have a problem.

Regarding the bad "medicinal" taste i was getting with the stuff i mixed with Heartland Vapes PG, i tried vaping their PG straight with no flavor or nic as a test and the bad taste is coming from the PG. So i'm experimenting with other PGs. I vaped Essential Depot's PG and the taste is a little better (not much. That bad taste is still there just not as pronounced) but there is hardly any vapor.

I noticed that when i try eliquids from different vendors, sometimes i get that same weird taste. It must be from certain PGs. I don't get it from other vendors though. Either they use a PG that doesn't have that taste or they have figured out how to cover it up.

BTW, when i vape the straight PG, i get no TH.
