PG is very drying and irritating to my throat. I've heard of people using only VG instead. But, I've also heard that it clogs and ruins atomizers. Is this true? Is there anything I can do about it?

I'm just wondering how far I should go towards making my juices all, or at least more, VG. Any suggestions? Is there a thread here that I've missed that explains this?

So far, I've made all my juices 80% PG and 20% VG.

Drinking more water can help with the irritation and drying of PG. I've been having more irritation from it recently, but I've also been drinking less water...

I mix at 40/60 PG/VG and that works perfectly fine with my atomizers, been using the same atties for 3 months now. Carefully cleaning your atomizers when they start to lose production helps too.

I had to give up PG liquids for similar reasons, and switched to VG based liquids over a year ago. The only PG in them now is from the flavorings. My atties are 510- several different manufacturers and resistances - and they last for months.

I think the key is to thin the VG to the same viscosity as PG so that the atty doesn't run dry. Most people use PGA or distilled water, at 10 to 20 percent, to thin it down.

I buy 100% VG nicquids from bluemistvaping. The thickness can cause wicking issues with the tanks I use, so I thin it. I generally buy 30% higher nic than what I vape (i.e. 24mg to get 18mg after thinning) with their extra flavor option. I use ~23%PG and 2% PGA. It's a THICK vapor. It gives me the sensation of smoking when I use it in DC cartos or DC atties. I like the thick, warm vapor, because it seems more analog-like to me. I hope this helps!

BMV has some awesome flavors, too! :)
