VG fluid burning

Hello, I'm a new user here. I've always come to this site when looking up questions about my ecig. Anyway, I have always bought max vg because I liked how you could get better clouds, yet now that I've reduced my nicotine level to 6mg, I keep finding that all my fluid burns quite easily, even on the lowest of voltage. I have an itaste mvp with a 5ml HyperTank. My wick is 2.4 ohms, and it'll still burn after a few hits on 3.4 volts. My fluid smells fine and delicious, and I've tried replacing the wicks, but I am starting to think it's just a consequence of max vg. Does anyone know?

I've replaced the wick twice. Originally it came with a 1.8 ohm wick and i switched to a 2.2 then to a 2.4, all with the same result.

Replacing the coil head will not fix a wicking issue. Is your juice super thick in viscosity....like maple syrup? Or is it super thin like water? If it is super thick, like most primarily VG mixes are - then a drop or 2 of distilled water will thin it so it can be absorbed by the wicks and not taste burnt :)

Also - did this issue start with this tank or did this specific liquid previously work well in it?

Yeah, I think your liquid may be too thick and your coil is burning your wick.

When i first got this tank it was working fine, but after about a week it started burning. Right now I'm trying some old fluid, from a different vendor, and I'm not getting a burning taste, but I'm not getting all the vapor I'm used to. Also this same thing happened in my vivi nova. So I think you guys are correct, I think its just too thick. I just ordered some 50/50 fluid. Do you think this will still give me the clouds I'm looking for?

I use 1oo% VG but I thin it down a bit to help it vape better 1/2 ml to ten ml's
This works great for my Vg
I DIY that's the only way to really know what's in your juice .

how do you thin it down??? I know I can add distilled water to my fluid but I'm not sure how much to use. Its all 0 nicotine max vg fluid from mtbakervapor.
