Is there a difference in the flavors if you choos PG or VG?

I just got some more to try and WOW are some of them powerful!! The Dark tobacco blend and flue cured are a bit bold (as the descriptions said it would be)
So heres the +1 question - can I add a flav to cut back the boldness of the two above? anyone suggest a flav to mix with these to tame them a bit?

I dont want to dump them after spending money on them..

Might want to try a mixing 50/50 with a mild flavor tobacco of the same mg. I'd just mix a ml at a time to try it. I do mix marlboro with French Pipe.

Problem with using PG or VG is that it will knock your nicotine level down in the liquid. If that isn't a problem, you can find bottles of PG at Electronic-Ash. e-Liquid : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

VG can be had at most drug stores. I find that it is slightly sweet if you use a lot of it.

Seems the general opinion is the VG juices have better flavor but lower throat hit (TH), while PG is the opposite. I personally find PG has a slightly sour taste that is a bit harsh in the mouth and throat, but then PG affects me pretty strongly in other ways I don't like, so perhaps I am now sensitized to its flavor. All my juices now are VG based. You have to thin the VG with a little 100 proof vodka, PGA, or water (10% vodka is what I do), so the juice won't clog the atty and flows well. This will increase TH too, by making the nic more available, and I find this increases the flavor as well. Very lush vapor with VG.

I think that this is what I am looking for.
PG is producing an almost burning sensation on the throat when inhaled - not hard core or anything, just bothersome at times.
I took a drag on a real smoke and found that there really isnt much of a throat hit with them and then realized that what I enjoy about smoking is the "full" feeling you get in your lungs on inhale. I guess it would be a more satisfied feeling.. you get what I am saying.
So, if VG is a good vapor producing juice base (after its watered down - ?) easy on the throat hit, but still HAS a throat hit, I may get some of that to try out.

Now as far as mixing the juices I have that are a little "uff - da" I mixed the dark tobbacco, some 555 and some almond - 3 ml of each..
not bad but its not "great" either. I will keep playing with it.

If anyone who uses it can get me more info on the VG, that would rock.

Thanks!

About all I can add to your question is that I have found that the PG just irritates my throat too much. What I mean is that "throat hit" is one thing, but when it causes my throat to get a bit raw and irritated then it's not a good thing. So I've learned that VG has a much better and soothing effect on my throat when I vape.

For example, I have some 25mg strength Marlb flavor that I got from RMV (Rocky Mountain Vapor). I love the flavor but the PG in it is just too much. So I take that 24mg juice and fill a 6ml container half full of it. Then I fill the other half with pure Wilton brand VG. I have purchased the Glycerine USP from Wal-Mart, the straight VG liquid from 2 sources online have found that the Wilton VG is the sweetest of the bunch which really helps cut the "bitter" or "harshness" from any flavor/juice.

So I end up with what I believe to be a 12mg strength solution of e-juice which is much easier on my throat but yes it also has lost the full-strength flavor of the original 24mg Marlb. But, this works perfectly for me. Number one, I have been cutting down my nicotine strength in all my diy juices to about 12mg anyway, and the number two, the flavor is still good enough for me to vape all day without any problems.

I've actually talked more than a few people into at least trying PV's and there was on lady who said that her daughter told her that the PG (Propylene Glycol) is used in anti-freeze and the FDA says it's not safe, etc. (we've all heard that argument), but I told her that she can get her e-juices with no PG and this has convinced her daughter to basically leave her alone, so she's going to give it a try. Not all vendors have pure VG-based e-juices, but you can make your own too - that's what I now do.

so maybe I should cut some of what I have with some glycerin first..??

Yes you can. I found the Glycerine USP at Walmart in the pharmacy section where they keep the hand lotions and stuff like that. If you have any trouble finding it (like I did) just ask one of the pharmacists and she took me right to it.

The Wiltons brand (which I prefer over the others I have) I got at A.C. Moore which is a craft store. Any store that sells any type of food colorings and flavorings is bound to have it. While your there, you may want to see if they have any Lorann flavorings. That is what many of us use to make our own e-juice.

What you can do is take the e-juice you have and take two parts of that (2ml for example) and mix it with 1 part of VG (1ml) and you have effectively cut your nicotine by 1/3. You will also find that the flavor may have dropped the same amount, but it may be just as tasty. If that works, you might want to try cutting it 50/50 which is what I normally do and it seems to retain enough flavor for me anyway.
