I was just wondering...
Some people say that PG gives you more TH and flavor and VG more vapor, well with doing DIY you can compensate the lack of PG by increasing the flavor and nic right? I know there is a bit of taste in the VG but I don't think it is that significant
lets say for example
I'm mixing a 20mg 70PG/30VG 8%Flavor
I could go to 23mg 30PG/70VG 10%flavor and still get the same TH and Flavor amount that the Predominately PG mix

or am I missing something?

I Know some can't vape PG or some can't VG that's not the issue here I don't mind either one

I would say from alot of ratio changing myself that the nicotine itself is what gives you 75%+ of the throat hit. I have vaped 0mg mainly VG vapes (only the flavorings and sweetner were suspended in PG) and there is almost ZERO throat hit. When you do mainly (I have done 90% PG) PG mixes without nicotine the throat hit is there but no where close to where it was with normal nicotine levels. After almost a year of changing I have settled at 6-8mg/mL to give myself flavor and throat hit. When I was vaping 18-24mg I would have never have thought that I could make it down to low levels because I craved the 24mg strength but stepping it down 4mg every month worked and in less than 6 months I was at 6mg.

I think TH is an unspecific term.

There is a sensation that only comes from nicotine.
There is a sensation that comes from PG.
There is another one that comes from sour flavors.
There is one that comes from dry flavors.
There is one that comes from heat of the vapor.
There is one that comes from the quantity of vapor...etc...

We call them all Throat Hit, but PG doesn't feel like nic doesn't feel like sour or dry, but they all give a rough feeling from the back of the mouth to the lungs. I haven't figured out if I really care that they feel differently (take another vape of a smarties experiment I'm trying to get dryer..) so I'm not sure it really makes a difference... I know I need some kind of throat hit.

That's a very long way of saying, I think vapero's method should work for vapero...

That would be bitter, FastRay. Bitter can be a wonderful thing, but has a bad reputation. I know a few people that love dry bitter tobacco vapes. Much dryer and more bitter than I care for. I haven't really noticed bitter having TH. It can "bite" or have a sensation on the tongue, but I don't feel it in my throat.

I may be an oddity though. Do others have a TH from bitter flavors?

The easy one is let the nicotine oxidize...but not to the point of fish slime, just to the copper taste. Dark Vapure has a pleasant bitter between 3-5%. Burley, when used in butterfly fart amounts, adds some bitter. (It moves to sweet if used in any real quantity) Toasted almond or black seaseme (sic) can help with bitter, but be careful of that little black seed's namesake for it is a potent beast and if allowed too much freedom will ravage your tongue and pillage your nostrils while it burns your eyes.

Or you could just grab FA's Bitter Wizard?

I should have been more clear. Sorry about that. I was thinking in wine terms. Opposite of sweet is dry as in unsweet not necessarily bitter. Bitter for me is chewing up an aspirin. For example I could see an natural cinnamon flavor having more throat hit than a natural cinnamon with sweetener added. Hope that made sense. Being such a noob I should read more and type less.

I feel a choking sensation when juice has a good TH. It's almost like the wind blowing in your face and taking your breath.

I've heard that all TH is really just irritation from nic or another ingredient, and I get that with some juice as well.

For the most part I try to avoid it, I find it unpleasant and I don't get that sensation from smoking cigarettes.
