I received my Raven today and so far I'm impressed. The draw is a little airy for me but I have a fix for that. I'm testing it alongside a Phoenix with the same juice, one that I know well. I think the raven still needs to be broken in a little, very similar to the way a Phoenix needs to be broken in. But so far from liking this very much, especially since I don't have to use a syringe.

The juice I'm using is 70/30 PG/VG.

Pheonix Raven

right ..and also states "When using a carto for the first time drip 3-4 drops down the carto tube, then take a few dry draws to get the capillary action going for best results."

but are those drops down the air hole ..or what? i'm not familiar with filler-less cartos

Okay, now we know. The carto has a clear tube all the way to the coil. Fill the tank, put the carto back into position, drip a couple of drops straight down the tube and you're ready to go.

A nice, smooth, easy draw and I'm loving it. Only been using it for about 15 minutes, but the Raven Rocks!!!!

Gotta go grade papers....

What is your fix? Can you quantify the airiness of the Raven compared to a Phoenix at all?

I would say the draw is the same as the Phoenix.

I take a tiny piece of plumbers Teflon tape roll it into a ball and push you into one of the air holes. I then take a needlepoint and poke a hole. Sometimes just plugging the hole makes it a little too tight. I hope that makes sense.
