Im wondering if you investigated (using the VIR) the efficiency of various GG atomisers, by looking at which one needs less power to keep the coil at the desired temperature? I'm guessing the old ones with the ceramic should be better.

I have vape Ithaka, Tilemahos and Penelope v2 and V3 Seek. They all vape really nice on the highest temperature. I didnt have a problem because of the liquid control they all have. But I didnt notice any difference on the power they need at the desired temperature. Maybe I didnt pay attention to this issue. But I was happy with all of them.
In lower temperatures they vaped very nice too but I am not big fan of low temperatures so I didnt test them a lot, only to see if all were going well.

To speak the truth I havent test VIR on other atomizers except a dripper and it worked as expected. But if VIR works on GG atomizers then it works on all the others. Of course dont expect a bad feeded atomizer to work at the highest temperature because it will get dry very soon and VIR will stop it quickly.

But be sure that silica based atomizers need less power to reach the highest temperature Seek. That is because silica holds less liquid than cotton, so temperature raise quicker on them. But silica atomizers will stop functioning sooner than cotton ones because they will loose their liquid quicker

Imeo i have always thought that the wick supply's the juice which is heated by the coil but does the wick actually have to touch the coil in my opinion the answer would be no is there any way that the wick could have a porous ceramic cover of sorts very thin very porous ?

if wick doesnt touch the coil then you have a burn taste in general Adam (I am not talking only about VIR but about mechanicals too). And I have notice that the more tight the wire is on wick, the better.

I will experiment and see what happens I hoping a way that doesn't require a wick will come soon. if you need help assembling VIR let me know LOL

NR-R-NR wires work on VIR 4 out of 5 times Rina. And because they dont always work, thats why I said that they dont work :)

I'm curious: do you have an explanation for this? In your opinion what does it depend on?
Would be nice to have some more insight in this, hoping to make it work all of the times.

I would say if you make your NR very low in resistance it should work no problems. Use twisted silver wire, and i can assure you it will work unless Imeo knows something else. All devices know their wires from how they react to current. If you give it a very low NR wire it will not affect the resistance wire.

With the VIR, what would happen if you took a Penelope V1 (for example) and built it using a single continuous piece of titanium wire?

you will have to cover it all with wick which is impossible. If you don't it will always fail since the non covered parts will take most of the temperature load allowed.
