The better 14500 are Efest IMR 14500-700 Flat top V1, but perhaps it could work with a magnet on the top....
The differences on flat button and top button batteries are so small that mentioning it is not important Aal. The important is that VIR has to work flawlessly, something that I dont see on other Temp electronics.

I mean that there is more variety of flat top batteries available. So they are easier to get. For instance if you search for LG He2 18650 all of the results I find are flat top. Same with the Sony VTC.
I understand that the button top is important for a mechanical reverse battery protection. And I agree that proper temp control is more important then the battery used. And honestly I have a bunch of both types so it doesn't matter that much but if given the choice between a mod that allows either battery and one that only works with flat tops I would pick the one that gives me more options.
there's plenty of really good nipple high discharge batteries, I don't know what you guys are smoking.
Orbtronic are a joke. Re wrapping might work but it increases it's size considerably.

You do realize higher amp discharge rating means smaller internal resistance means smaller voltage drop. This is what I am personally after not that I will draw 20 amps out of a Sammy.
Aal , whats wrong with the AW IMR bat. ? Im using them a long time already some even more then year of every day use and still working well ( 18350s and 18500s ) .

I don't know if it helps, but I accidentally purchased some flat tops a while back that weren't making contact in the mod. I had some small, flat magnets laying around that I used that acted like a button top for the batteries.
It worked out great until I could order some more AW batteries.

I've had no issues with the Orbtronics in any of my GG stuff, and they have been working great too.
Internet says yes jes. I dont have any SS wire like this but it seems it will work
