it's coated on the inside just like the outside.
no big deal. just a flavor robber.

good to know. I was searching around for a pic of the inside to no avail. I just got in on the AGI AGA co-op fingers crossed that they arrive with no problem. hopefully my vivi will just serve as a backup. I got a valley vapes carto tank and loved it so I would the plan is to go glass all the way. Shame that the vivi rebuildable tanks have had such bad reviews. ibtanked has glass tanks to replace the vivi poly tank. I decided to swear of cartos, got tired of wicking issues and the expense. with AGA's, vivis etc i can rebuild coils and save some $.

shorter the wick, faster it gets to the head.
but you have to keep it full, or tilt it.
i use 100% VG so much juice is pretty thick.

That may help, might have to try it. I don't mind the tilting as long as it keeps hitting right. Looking forward to getting some kenthal and wick and doing my first rebuild. I would like to find a wick that will suck up my juice as best as possible then need to figure what gauge kenthal I should get.

I really love the nice, soft vape I get from my Vivi with a 1.5ohm coil, gotta tip it though, I do get sick of that...

I'm going to try the cap I cut on the 2.4 then the 1.8 ohm heads next. After that will try trimming the wicks. I like to chain vape for a few minutes every so often, guess I'm still too used to analogs.

as far as wick goes try the peaches and cream 100% natural unbleached cotton yarn. Walmart sells the smaller ball of yarn for $1.77 where I am. Cotton wicks really well. The yarn will last for a few years lol!

Thanks, will definitely give it a go when the time comes. Looking forward to trying the cotton. Most everything else I've seen always mentions the silica wicks.

I have seen a lot of info flying around about silica being unsafe due to small strands of silica shedding so I have made the switch and IMO the cotton works better anyway and the yarn is dirt cheap so cheaper and healthier? No brainer. I just got into rebuildables myself and am really excited about having options working with what i already have and not having to break the bank. Once you have the wire and the cotton your set for a REALLY long time. Plus there are so many vids out there particularly pubusardo's that help immensely.

Hi everyone! New member here not entirely new to vaping but just received a setup from my kids and thought I would post my experience.

I am using the mini vivi nova (tried all 3 heads) on an Ego-C Twist as my main battery and also have the Ego-T Upgrade as a smaller backup. The novas are really nice and easy to use and clean, but I was having issues vaping. I would have to twist it to try to help the wick do its job by letting gravity bring the juice into the head and could not increase the wattage too high or it would cause dry hits or start to burn. Or more exactly, it was more like a combination of the two.

The experience was similar across all three heads (1.8, 2.4 and 2.8 ohm) so I even tried cleaning them, including dry firing (which I believe to be unnecessary unless its been used heavily/has gunk built up) and ended up using the 2.8 ohm head because of the fact it has a larger wick and figured the higher ohms would be less chance of getting too much wattage.

So what I did was to remove one of the silicone caps from the other heads and cut very small "v" shaped notches on each side right where the wicks are. I made them small as possible to minimize flooding/losing juice unnecessarily. This has helped enormously. I can now chain vape as much as I like without any burning or dry hits.

This is my first setup and I just got it yesterday and glad I heard of other users doing similar things to get them going. My only other experience has been with the gas station NJoys then went to a NicStick, neither was that pleasant of an experience. I just ordered more juice, the adapter sleeve and a Kanger T2 from Mt Baker Vapors with free shipping. Coupon code freeshipping.

Smoked my last analog earlier today and have no urge for any more. Best birthday gift ever!

Well happy belated birthday, and it seems you are doing just fine. I haven't really had the dry hit problem, but I tend to rotate devices and tilt them when I use them. Good luck and happy vaping.

Here's a couple pics showing how small my cuts are, actually slightly smaller than the thickness of a penny.

I've tried re-wicking with silica, hemp, square braided candle wick, and cotton yarn. By far the cotton yarn performs the best. I believe it was 100% cotton sugar&cream #4 white yarn. I boiled mine twice to be safe. It has great flavor and vapor now, plus I save a ton not buying cartos!

i've wondering about the idea of silica wicks.
i don't like anything silicone headed into my lungs.
even as a transport device.
i wonder when someone will figure out a way to to use ss mesh as a wick in a nova.
i'm sure it could be done.
i think i need to get some yarn and wire and start making some myself.
gotta be cheaper than 6,7 or 8 bucks a pop for heads.
