I have two Eternitys, one in drip mode and the other in tank mode. The drip mode works very well @ 30 drops (why stretch it?). In tank mode, if you pre-fill the drip well reservoir with about 30 drops and then put the tank on, the tank will not begin to feed until the drip well reservoir is well down ... this gives you the equivalent of about 2.5 ml—1 ml in the tank, and 1.5 ml in the drip well reservoir!

I've been experimenting with various wicks—3.5mm silica (for Ody & Penelope, from COV), cotton cheesecloth (30-35 threads seems about right), and bamboo thread (about 8 threads of Aunt Lydia's seems to work well)—and they all perform very nicely; if I anticipate vaping dark, heavy juices, I opt for the silica just for the ability to dry burn ... otherwise, with lighter juices where gunking up is less of a problem, I like the CC or bamboo for their taste transparency.

I'm getting excellent flavor and vapor in the drip mode, and I'm getting very nearly the same results in tank mode with CC or bamboo wicks. I have had absolutely zero leaking in either mode; in fact, my out-and-about setup is a tank mode Eternity on top of a 1000 mAh SS eGo Twist. Very elegant looking, and quite pocketable. I might also mention that my dripping Eternity is atop my SS Zmax v2, and the combination looks gorgeous! The Eternity bottom cone slips into the Zmax drip well for a perfect, integrated mate to the Eternity ... unlike on the Twist, the Eternity cone doesn't screw onto the Zmax; it just slips down over the 510 connector into the drip well, which is the perfect depth to accept it.

I'm using both 33 gauge and 36 gauge Kanthal A-1 for coils, which I usually wrap for 2.5–3.5Ω and vape at about 6.5 Watts. One recommendation: get some of the pre-made wick & coils ... get them not so much for the silica and wire, but for the two little metal post clips that are included. These little devils are very easy to lose (they seem to squirt out of my juicy fingers and fly away, never again to be seen), and you'll want a few spares lying around.

I'm quite happy with the Eternitys, and they're giving me really brilliant performance. Now, if I could figure out one simple thing, I'd be a totally happy camper ... how in thunder do you remove/replace the little section of silica wick inside the spike? You want it out for dripping, but it's essential for tank mode. Anyone get this figured out yet?

For replacing the wick allmightygod gave me the idea to use a 1/16 drill bit on the spike to recieve some new silica and mesh, this has been working great for me over the last two months .Pre measure the wick and feed the silica in from the top until the mesh meets the tip of spike.

Thanks for the idea ... I don't quite visualize where the hole is to be drilled (I assume, straight down from the top, but this seems like it would destroy the point on the spike and adversely affect the feed from the tank ...) Apparently, the suggestion is to wrap a small mesh "cone" on top of the little section of wick?

I have had my eternity for awhile now I use it in the evening while watching the flat screen. Drip mode.
I have not had to change the original wick yet. I did remove the wick on the spike, which I think is a must in drip mode. I usually put in 20 drops at a time. I have dry burned the coil a good 10 times and its still works great. I still think I get the best flavor from the eternity even better than the stallion in a tank. I'm using it on a spinner at 3.8v with 70/30 pg/vg. It's a keeper for sure.

Scott i drilled from the bottom up to the
tip it will not hurt the spike if you take your time,it just leaves a small hole next to spike. And for the mesh just wrap that around the end of the wick and feed throught the top,the mesh is what keeps the wick in place. This is the only complaint i have with the eternity,is that they did not make the spike wick replaceable, but it's no biggie to me because i love to tinker anyway.
