i have had all the different versions and with the older sr version you get dry hits using any pg/vg mix(almost gave up on them) but over the last few weeks i have been using the lr newer version and has been working flawless with pure vg (boba bounty). i think different sellers have different ones(look the same but different results). if you are having trouble with dry burns then buy from different seller. i have finally found something that will work well with my boba bounty that is inexpensive to operate. i have had different sr and lr from different suppliers with different results. once you find a good one they are hard to beat.

Well, it's been just under a full two months now since I received my first two SR. Stardusts
from Canvape.
One has been used almost exclusively for my DIY Vanilla which is pretty much my ADV.
(it did have a few fills of my DIY Menthol also)

While the "little" cracks developed early on (1st couple of weeks) there has never been any issue
with leaking until last night. I found a little puddle under it this morning.

It's gone through a mass quantity of juice and at least a dozen dry burns.
Lately I've noticed the need to dry burn it a little more frequently, as the
flavour and performance deteriorate sooner than usual.

Yesterdays dry burn was a little more thorough and intense(due to the above)
and when I was done I noticed the polycarbonate was quite warm.
I hadn't been pausing enough in between burns I guess.

Well, two months of great performance out of it for 5 bucks has shown to be a
great return on investment for me and I ain't done with it yet, as I just
painted the base with some liquid glue...we'll see how "that" goes.

With 9 units now in my collection(3 new/unused), I'm debating whether to order
some new tubes and wick and wire in an attempt to extend their usable life
even further.

Either way I could not be happier with the longevity and performance of this product.

Not sure new to this but with a with little knowledge of cooking and chemistry vinegar may be a bad cleaner for these. The plastic reacts to acid...problems with citrus and cinnamon and the metal even though it is plated (chrome whatever) if there are any pores in it will cause the metal to rust just like a car. Don't know but would like to see what the people that know think?

fyi....one of my first ordered that I cleaned with distilled white vinegar looks like the metal on the inside base that the tube sits on has flaked off leaving a "rusted" look. I'll be throwing THAT ONE away! The others are all performing fabulously!
