Yes I can confirm 100% that the 3.2 ohm heads have 1 fatty wick. I have not used a head with one fatty wick before so I will give it a go, and if I dont like it will dink with the wick.

Edit: 5 min into vaping the head with the fat wick I can not tell a difference, no dry hits at 4.6v with a 50/50 juice

I got some coming in the mail also. Im disappointed tho that they are still one fat wick. The 2.8 ohm head I have were like that and had to be unwound to get decent flavor from them. Once they are unwound they start to frey very badly with each cleaning and have even started to break away by the top of the metal post.

I have found better success and durability with the multiple thin wick setup, as well as better flavor performance. Althouth those lower ohm heads I only use on ego batts. Not on VV.

+ 1 Vote for 4 thin wicks.

The 2.4s I got have both a fat wick and one thin wick. The thin one looks like it would hold together better than the fat; it's twisted well, whereas if you unravel the fat one, the individual threads that result aren't twisted.

With an earlier purchase, I had received a 1.8 Ω Vivi Nova Head that had 4 thin wicks. Personally, I think the 4 thin wicks work a bit better; not that I have any complaint with the fat/thin combo.

I have a question what is the benefit of using a high ohm at high voltage vs low ohm at a lower voltage? I have a good understanding of electronics and the current would be the same 3.2 ohm at 6.4 volts vs 2.4 ohm at 4.8.. just an example.. is it hotter vapor?

Lots of threads on this, but in essence, there's not much of a difference. What your looking for is wattage. If you can achieve the same amount of watts with a given LR atty/lower voltage combo as you would with an HR atty/higher voltage combo than you're essentially getting the same vape. (you seem to be someone who can figure out how to determine wattage so I'll forego spelling out formulas and such). There are those, however, who want a much hotter vape than most (above the typical 6 to 8 watt range that most are comfortable with) going for 10, even 11 watts of power! In that case, they're vaping at a much higher voltage on a VV device relative to the resistance of the atty being used. And then there are those who just want to say they vape at 7.2 volts because they can which is where an HR atty becomes necessary or else you'll just fry it. The same holds true in reverse: use a higher resistance atty on lower volts (say a 3.2 ohm atty on a fixed voltage 3.7V mod) to get a cool vape as the watts will be much lower than the typical range. Something for everyone and fun to experiment with different combos.

There are other factors that can affect the vape slightly. More turns on the coil, or the same amount of turns using thinner wire (higher R wire), etc, but these differences would tend to be relatively minor. With the same design of the atty itself, probably over 90% of the performance is soley due to wattage.

I agree that the 4 thin long wicks are by far the best. I got one of the single fat wick ones in my last order. I unbraided the wick and left them long...works almost as good as the 4 strand wicks.

I did this with a 2.8 head, was still getting dry hits. I took a pair of tweezers and removed a small group of strands and now it's vaping like a champ.

so I was changing removing my nova from one of my pv's while driving because the batteries died and was going to switch to my 3.7 mod box.. I grabbed the nova my the clear tube and twisted and found that I just dumped a full tank of bb on my lap DOH! twisted the bottom of the tube off instead of the threads from the pv

Oh that happened to me and man was I ....... Had to pull over to try to wet the area where the juice fell on my jeans to preven my skin to prevent all that nic from making contact with my leg. I smelled of strawberries for half a day until I got a chance to switch out pants,... And a bit of buzz ;-)

Careful with the direction of those threads and try to limit fiddling with your PV at red lights. Would be an awkward conversation to have with the cop, PV/nova in one hand while you try to cover the wet spot on your pants with the other. "officer, see, what had happened was..."

is it acceptable to put citrus flavored juice in the vivi tanks? i know the description says that it should be fine, but i just wanted to check for any personal stories that might influence my decision. fwiw, i plan to tank Citrus Punch by Quick Nic. thanks for the help might i be better off using the metal tube replacement instead of the clear plastic one? is that what the purpose of the metal is, or is it just for looks?

oh, and im glad to see the addition of the higher resistance heads available.

Those kind of concerns are EXACTLY what the metal tubes are for

Yeah, I had to get the metal tube as my cinnamon liquid DESTROYED the clear tank.

I wish the metal tanks had a little glass window or something to show how much juice you had in there.
