I use steel mesh for my wick in all my Vivi Nova tanks. I have tried all kinds of different wicking materials in this tank, and the mesh is what really made my flavor taste the best. It's a bit of a pain to get it rolled just right to fit in the Vivi head, but it's worth the effort in my opinion. I never get any dry hits, and the wick and coil lasts twice as long compared to yarn, cotton, or silica. I swear by Vivi tanks, and I love the fact they can easily be rebuilt. Compared to dripping though??? I haven't found anything that tastes as good as straight dripping. But I rarely have the option to just sit and have a vaping session where I can drip. Spend too much time on the go, in the garage, or doing something else where dripping just is NOT an option.

Dripping isn't all that. I don't understand why everyone compares everything to dripping. I personally think it sucks. you can't do anything but sit at a desk; and the vapor/flavor isn't that great anyway. now on to real vapor. I was/am still a carto vapor, and I got a mod and was sick of always messing with it and wanted to get a good tank. I have tried the DTC's, both sizes of J-Tanks, and now I recently got the Vivi Nova 2.5 and today the Mini Vivi Nova. I can honestly say that I have never tasted my juices quite like I am now. The Vivi Nova is the direction I think vaping is heading, and I already like it better than cartomizers because the flavor AND the vapor are so damn good. In reading reviews about the Vivi Nova prior to my purchase, I always saw that people think the flavor is muted. I have not experienced this AT ALL. I will still vape carto tanks, but this is my new s__t. I also just got a eGo Twist in the mail today, and it is my first taste of anything capable of over 3.7v The Vivi Nova 2.5 comes with 3 heads; the 1.8ohm, a 2.4ohm, and a 2.8ohm. I didn't get a great vape with the 2.4ohm on my 3.7v devices, but if I rock the Twist @ 4 volts the 2.4 vapes like a champ. Maybe those suffering from the flavor muting aren't running these heads on the correct setting..Just my .02 I stand behind the Vivi 2.5 100%.

They only time I have had muted flavors is when it is a light flavor like this melon I have sitting here, but in my normal vapes I don't have that issue, but then I usually vape a lot of coffee and other stronger flavors

Any experience vaping menthol in one? If so, how did it preform?

As always, I guess it comes down to convenience vs quality. If this was a tobacco forum, I am sure we would be debating short and long filter tips, RYO, pipes and hookahs. For ecigs, many out there prefer the pre-filled cartos for convenience and the far other side likes to tinker with mods and rebuilding. I say, if you are satisfied with what you are vaping, then just enjoy and don't stress out about what you may be missing. (This is not directed at the OP, but based on a few other posts on the forum today.)

The Vivi Nova can come close IF you re-wick it with cotton wicks. Dripping is not always accessible because dripping and driving is dumb. You can't really do it at work either or you'd get nothing done. Now maybe if one sits in their mom's basement all day then dripping would be an option in the real world :)

I suppose that's if you are a chain vapor. For many of us dripping is fine. For myself I use a combination of dripping and blue fluval. simply pop the cart off drip one or two drips on the bridge and a couple on the blue fluval or foam. Now you are set for what would normally be about one cigs worth.

I have been vaping for about 3 years now and I have tried just about all but the newest toys. In the end I came back to what worked in the beginning. It tastes better, no hassles just great consistent hits. Sure I'm using a big battery mod and LR atties, but the delivery of the juice is the same as when I started.

But it's all good and no single solution is going to work for everyone.

Just started dripping and have not yet found the redeeming value. Of course I have been told that you need to become adept at it; ie. how many drawls before redripping, when to take a drawl without the battery, etc. At work I don't have much time to fiddle around with it, but hopefully I'll be able to get the hang of it eventually. In the meantime, I just chain vape my Vivi!

Well, this has been a particularly enlightening thread!

I've learned that I can't really drip unless I'm sitting in my mom's basement all day...
And I've learned that I can't do anything but just sit at a desk...

After dripping exclusively for the last three years, you'd think I'd have learned all this by now.
This weekend when I go to Sea World, and I'm dripping all day, I'll have to remember that what I'm doing is not possible.

Ive been for vaping for 3 years and a die hard dripper for 2 1/2.
Yesterday I got a Vivi Nova 2.5 from a B&M store just to try it out.

Using a tank is so much easier than dripping all the time. No mess, no over dripping/flooding, no blowing out the atty to clear it.
The vapor is amazing.
I will probably still continue to drip occasionally, but using a Vivi Nova might just end up being a better alternative
