So I have some questions for you guys. Love the Vivi Novas. I've been using them with a Lavatube with great success....until I tried the 2.8 ohm heads. I didn't realize until I was putting them on that they are a different type of wick than the wicks on the low a standard resistance heads. The material doesn't seem to wick as well, even after unbraiding the wicks. Are they an older version of the heads? Newer version? Will you be carrying high resistance replacement heads that have the 4 thin, long wicks like the low and mediums do?

First... if you got your VN and supplies anywhere else... none of what follow directly applies since it is what was posted about what GV's got in... not other places...

GV waited until the v2.5 Viva Nova stuff was made so all of their current stock should be v2.5. Vision was/is still trying out different wick configurations and I suspect each one is the same material and they are just wound differently. That first order contained some short wicks ( 4 thinner wicks similar in length to the original Stardust wicks ) and then others were long wicks but two different types of winds. On some of the 2.8 ohm versions they had a single thicker wick they were trying out to see if it wicked better then the 4 thinner wicks.... I believe all of the 1.8 and 2.4 ohm heads were just the 4 thinner long wicks.

I found no noticable difference between the 4 thinner wicks and the single thicker one... I did get one head that had short wicks ( which was an error on the order because GV was going for all long ones so people can have a choice and cut down if they wanted short wicks )... I got a lot better flavor with the juices I vape on the shorter wick... So now I do cut all of mine. I don't recall others mentioning an issue with the thicker wick so unless I missed one, you would be the first to report it.... and which is probably why it would have been better to have posted this in the main thread so we wouldn't have a million little threads to look through for the info instead of just the one large thread.
