Vivi tank question

Hi, recently I changed the vivi tank wick to ss mesh, coiled with 32awg wire for 4 loop. The mesh I did it as a u shape n not genesis style. Somehow when I vape, my tank n lavatube heats up. Is it normal?

Hehe, didn't measure the ohm, but vaping frm 3.7 - 4.8.

My guesstimate is 4 coils is less than 2ohm so going more than 4v will give you a hot coil/warmer vape which might be the reason.

Dun forget the mesh itself transfers heat to the tank better than silica wick.

you really need to measure the ohms of your DIY coils. Thats dangerous for your PV taps... But, hows the vapor? If its working well, then good. I wouldn't want to use a RBA on a device with no protection circuits and I wouldn't want to rebuild w/o an ohm checker.

Yah. Think I better check. The vapor is great, flavor is there also, jus a bit hotter than when using wick.

Hmm 2.4ohms shouldn't be a problem with 4.3 ohms.. I used to go around 4.4v on 2ohms without a problem

Something is still not right leh, many tank still heats up, now even my juice inside turns dark color.

I have one same as you and never used it before. However there's some problem with the cap (o ring too tight ). If you want it, I can give it to you. It comes with extra 10 pre coiled wicks. However, I'm unsure if it's the real deal but I guess it doesn't matter as you're coiling the wicks yourself. Do feel free to pm me if you need it.

i suspect you are getting hot spots around your wick and coil.

Could be, I didn't use non resistance wire n also didn't double the legs. Maybe tonite try recoil n see how.

the quality of the tank doesnt look very good.
just after 2 weeks, the rubber seal starting leaking on me.

Did you follow the tip of dripping some juice on the rubber seal each time you open?
