No prob, we're on the same wavelength. I know it's damn difficult to convey everything that you think about something with just a few words, especially for someone like Keys who hates to type.
I do know where you're coming from when you say there's an element of prematureness/jumping the gun involved in establish a VMax sub-forum "right away". I've said at length how much I admire and respect the ProVari for its legendary quality, heroic durability, great design, and just all-around greatness. It would be a crime against humanity if it did not have its own sub-forum.
Reading between the snarky lines of my response, I hope a reader thereof would just come away with the opinion that I think the VMax and/or its reincarnations are going to be here to stay, and that I don't see it not becoming sub-forum-worthy "all in good time". That said, I don't think it would be a colossal miscalculation to go ahead and install one, since the VMax already does have quite a following that is arguably larger, and possibly even more well-deserved, thatn some of the ones you mentioned.
It really is a hell of a device, and fitted with 2 x 3.7V IMR batteries, it can safely kick some "serious buttocks". To distance that phrase from the realm of meaningless hyperbole, I point to the unparalled ability of the VMax to power as much as a 6, 7 or 8 ohm coil, which I intend to create as soon as Ty at Liberty-Flights starts stocking the Bulli atomizer in stainless steel with a 510 connection, in the model designed to accept Joyetech-standard "B" tanks.
I intend to pursue this course because of a sense that I have that a superior vape can be achieved on a single coil with a large surface area that is placed in optimum proximity to the juice, and warmed to just the right temperature. Of course, if subsequent versions of the VMax no longer "go to 11", I'll have to use lower resistances when and if my VMax "v1.0" stops working, if ever.
