VMod 2.0 issue

Uh, no this is my 7th mechanical mod and all fire the cartos and attys I use.

I use 1.5 - 1.7 ohm cartos and attys. They are my preferred resistance unless Im rebuilding and then my preferred resistance is .9-1.1 ohm.

My VMod fires my cisco atty, it just wont fire my boges. And yes, I have attempted to adjust the center pin on the carto.

Sheila, i'm with you on the Cisco's... I use them 99.9% of the time on my XL. I have tried 5 of the Vapage slant coils and they all were sub-par for my vaping style within a week on all of them. I tried to clean them to re-use them again and they just weren't up to par for me. I have been using the LR306 1.5Ω Cisco's for 2 years now and to me, nothing compares to them on my XL. I have also used the Cisco Aero line of atty's as well and they are pretty equal to the regular 306's. I get on average of 4+ months per atty and that is also never being soaked or cleaned. I have tried some of the IKV atty's and all had problems with the center pins needing adjusting to get them to work on my XL as well. I just chalked it up finally to, there is only one specific atty to use and it was the Cisco's. Never had a problem with not one, not firing on my XL. To me in 2+ years of vaping, Avid still makes the best and most consistent atty on the market to date. I hope they never go out of business, as I will probably just quit all together.

Did you ever try screwing it in a half a turn more? One can feel when it touches the pin.

The chamber threads on the vmod can be a bit tight when new, on occasion. It is rare, but I had that occur on my first XL. If it's too much work to screw an atty in a few time to break it in, send it in for warranty replacement.

And please, don't try the Vapage Hybrid Slant Coil Atty's. There are plenty of people who check the site regularly waiting for the 1.5 ohms to be restocked. Feel free to buy your cheap atty's from Cisco, another very well respected brand.

Thanks Tearose....Even tho I havent been able to get my Boges to fire in the VMod, I was able to get another carto I had here to fire. I think its a Resurrector. ? I know its not a Smoktech since I dont have any of them lying around.
