Hi from Toronto,

New to ECF, and well very new to vaping. So new infact I'm just about to purchase a starter kit.

From what I've read, and advice that has been given to me, I landed on a VOLT. (I couldn't really pin down the difference between a VOLT and 808 - but I believe the VOLT is based off the 808).

1. Where can I buy a VOLT in Canada? I have the Vendors list of Commercial KR808D-1 / VOLT suppliers but there was only one in Canada that offered the VOLT and I wouldn't mind looking into any other suppliers to see what kits they may have. (a PM would be fine - not sure what the rules are for posting supplier names)

2 If you are in Canada and on a VOLT would love to hear where you got it and how your experience has been so far.

I'll start with getting the kit sourced first - then on to figuring out the prefilled cartomizers (yes I'll be filling my own - however I want to start with pre-filled initially).

Any help is appreciated,
Adixx

Volt's are great but for now there aren't any Canadian vendors selling them. You can purchase them at smokelessimage.com though. I have a couple of volt batteries and they are good. I also bought my kit for a Kanger KR808D supreme kit at canvape.com which they really do have the best deal in Canada. Lots of goodies for that price. There are many great vendors and everyone will have an opinion but from what I've learned is it's a process you have to go through yourself. You alone will know what you like juice wise, purchase according to how much you vape and will match batteries accordingly.. its a great community here and you are in good hands and congratulations on quitting smoking? I presume :) Also the prefilled cartomizers are okay but I think once you get into the juices you will enjoy filling them yourself.

I picked up the Bloog maxx fusion (which is the same as the volt) from happy vaper.
It's a bit pricey but it's a solid starter kit and the bloog cartomizers are fantastic

From what I've learnt Volt & Bloog are identical same as the cartomizers. Just Bloog are a bit more expensive for the same quality. But if you can buy Bloog MaxxFusion close to home than I would probably buy the bloog since shipping will be cheaper and ordering with less waiting time. Just my opinion anyway good luck!

The Bloogs and kanger 808's still have the hole for the air switch which really sucks if you get e-liquid in them, easier to kill them. The Volt and the Halo G6 have Sealed Auto batteries, which are the only types I recommend. Volt and Halo Batteries also have the nicer finish over the cheaper Kanger 808's enamel paint. Volt & Halo have the silky rubberized finish that doesn't feel as cold in the hand with our Canadian winters and give a much better grip. Volt batteries with shipping are cheaper than Halo. Both will ship to Canada. I don't recommend Volt e-liquid at all, yuk. Halo e-liquid is Great

Hiya, I'm glad you mentioned volts juices. I use FSUSA but since I use volts it would be cool to use the juice too. One stop shopping yanno lol. What didn't you like about their juice?

I've also done warenty replacements with Volts and had no problems (painless), they paid for replacemnet shiping back to me and it was under $3 to send the items in with Canada Post. 1 of the 11 Volt batteries I ordered was defective and 1 slider case died after a month. Personally I don't like the sleder cases, for the money I rather have 2 extra 78mm Batteries to carry than that cheapish charge case, takes up less space too.

IceMenthol was a little flowery for the 'smokiness side but the menthol side of it was ok. The regular Menthol was OK, their best e-liquid I tried. The Chocolate was cheap candy artificial yuk. The RY4 was just as bad of a RY4 I've tried.. all was on the lower end of Vapour production, PG base... I havn't tried FSUSA's e-liquid but I highly recommend Halo! Good vapour and not to thick to clug up a Volt/Halo/Bloog style carto. Halo's Tribeca is my all day vape, best of the RY4-ish eliquids without the yuk of Dekang or others. :)

I keep hearing FSUSA liquids are better then Volt's lol

Hi Adixx, Ive been using the Volt for about 4 months now and love it. As others have stated you cannot buy the Volt in Canada. I got my Volt from bestvapour.com but they are no longer around. Smokeless Image in the US carries these and they have great customer service. You'll be looking at 10 business days or so (in my experience), to get it once ordered. They have a great selection of colors and accessories. I have never ordered juice from them as I didnt want to run the risk of it getting shipped back by customs although many others here in canada haven't had any problems.

Its a great chioce for a started kit!

If you have any questions just PM me.

The Volt is a branded KR808D-1 .... no difference really aside from appearance. I have Kanger KR8 kits, and I have Volt branded KR8 ... Do yourself a favor and don't stress trying to find a Volt, go to www.CANVAPE.com and purchase the Kanger KR8 kit type that best suits your needs ( they have a Deluxe, basic starter, and PCC starter kits ).

Thanks for the link LoungeMuffin, I'd never even heard of this vendor. While it's true that the KR808D-1 is essentially the same thing as the Volt, the automatic batteries in the newer Volt kits are very appealing - especially for someone just starting out because they're more versatile (i.e. atty + dripping) and less prone to failure from juice getting inside.
