No worries georgetown anyone could make the mistake of thinking they were like any other mini. But, fact of the matter is, the Volt, the Bloog, the KR808d regulated 3.7v, the 510 mega-T, these are all 3.7v REGULATED mini's.. which means they can throw out some good vapor production with standard res cartomizers/attys. unfortunately, its not recommended to use low res cartos with them because the battery size is so small, but they are the best little cig-alikes on the market. Good stufff.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to knock on smokeless image. I'm vaping some of their juice right now. I never really researched much into the volt itself. I just saw what the volt was and put it in the same category as other minis I guess. Yet again I'm sorry no disrespect again to SI. Im a repeat customer because I love their 555

Hey George, I didn't take any disrespect from your post. That 555 - yeah, I have a bottle of that. I buy most of my juice elsewhere but I do like their 555. They are also going to be carrying an e-juice line called Nicquid - NicQuid | USA E-Liquid | Dripping with Flavor
I will probably check some of those out. They say their Midnight Express is like a real tobacco - which makes me want to test that.

What kinda threading does smoov have? 808d-1/901?

Actually scratch that I looked it up. Might more expensive than the volts, but pretty similar based on specs.. Nice colours..

Smoov are 808. Also Bloog are 808. Basically Volts, Smoov and Bloog are all good minis, all 808.

I agree with you George on battery time. If you can use an ego at work it's great. I have been using my X2 (ego size) at work. Not every situation suits and ego and a vivi though. I have some places I have to go during the week for work and I really can't rock up with anything like that in those places. So iipart of it is the form factor and how my company is reflected. I use both - the Volt and the X2, which is ego size. I use the Volts when I go to other places for work.
I think it's a good idea to have both sizes really.
Also - the vivis are great, but some people have a learning curve, and they are, well, tankish. So I recommend getting some cartomizers as well. Having a couple of options can save on frustration, and give the form factor some-one may want in different situations.
I get that there are reasons for having a smaller battery for some people. I just offer my advice from what I experienced with v2. I wish someone would have told me to just get an ego(this was prior to me finding ecf). I also didn't know that volt had an ego style battery

oh ok so the Smoov, the Volt, the Boog, the V2, the X2, and the 510 mega-T are ALL regulated 3.7v mini's. The V2 and X2 R also KR808ds, the X2 being the larger sized fat ones, the V2 being just like the Bloog/Volt.

The X2 isn't a mini. It's Ego size and comes in 650, 900 or 1300 mah.

Yeah, a lot of people don't realize they have the ego sizes. It was one of the reasons I bought the Volts - I knew their stuff would be compatible with the X2s as well. I use adapters across my pvs now anyway. I really like bottom coil cartomizers and SI or Kanger are my go to for those.

How big are the X2 Volts around? The circumference? Is it comparable to an eGo or a bit skinnier? At least we will have these if the ban goes into effect. Pretty sure the KR808D batteries were around before 2007 and they are threatening to ban sales of any e-cigarettes developed and sold past 2007, so at least people will be able to buy KR batteries. Still, we need to fight that bill if it is introduced. And win.

Wow, thanks guys. I didn't expect this number of great responses. I hope I didn't confuse anyone on the V2, which is a different brand than the Volt. Its sold at V2cigs.com. The X2, I found out, is a larger style PV made by the same company that makes the volt. I was curious about the battery and the cartomizers made by V2. I've heard good things about the V2 cartomizers from people, and at $9 per 5 (even less in bulk), I definitely thing they're worth trying. Once I have extra money I will try an ego for home use, but I use my hands a lot at work, so I need something small and lightweight. For now it looks like I can get two volt batteries and a USB charger for about $32. For that price, I think I have nothing to lose trying it out.

So basically the V2 from V2 is an 808d just like the volt ForTozs, which means theres not really a difference between it and the volt. the cartomizers are both 808d cartomizers. the people that "make" the volt, are the same people that make the 808D. The name "volt" is just a name given to the 808d e-cig, given to it by smokelessimage... but the true model name is KR808D. they both order the 808d from china, probably from the same company, and then brand them with their own wraps or paint or printing machines or whatever, but they are essentially 1 in the same device. you can order 808d cartomizers anywhere you'd like, and they will fit your V2 ForTozs. you can order 808D batteries of the 2 sizes almost anywhere too. But your really going to love the volt batteries. within a month of vaping, you can TRY to smoke a cigarette, but you'll find it just doesn't vape like you want it to. lol. Enjoy the journey!! :) You'll have eGos and big mods soon enough, trust me! :)

PS. Do you haz 4 toes? Or do you like taking ForTozs with your camera? lol

I used V2 vor a long time until I finally found out not to use them. They currently have the same quality control issues they had at this time last year. The cartos are mostly partially filled and the flavors in the cartos have a wide swing from "passable" to "ick". Shipping is iffy to say the least.

That is not true at all that they are all made by the same company. There is more than one company that makes 808s. I have tried more than one kind of 808 cartomizer from different places, and while they fit 808s they are not all made the same. Volts are regulated 3.7 volt batteries made specifically for Smokeless Image and now also sold by Altsmoke. There are other 808s out there too - some better than others. Volt, Bloog and Smoov are the best. That's from people who have actually used them. The last thing some-one should do is buy a crappy 808 when they could buy a good one.

Hi ForTozs,
I haven't tried the V2 cartos but if people like them they are worth giving a go. The SI cartos are $8.99 for 5 I think - so maybe try V2 and Volt cartos and see which you prefer. Kanger 808s fit Volts too and I find them very good - bottom coil. The SI cartomizers are bottom coil and I really like those too. Hope you enjoy the Volt kit.

Ohhh OK Kiwi, that was revolutionary info for me. I think I've recommended getting an KR808D battery kit along-side recommending the volts and the bloogs because I had heard so many times, and have been told so many times that the volt and the bloog are kr808d batteries. It was drilled into my head here for a long time. I was pretty sure they all came from the same manufacturer. So there are different companies making kr808d batteries, interesting. Just like there are different companies making 510 batteries, like smoktech, bauway and of course, joye. I should have known since I knew that. I'll be able to steer new members toward volts and away from kr808d batteries now. I mean I knew different companies made 808d cartos but not the batteries. woops!

ForToz, who doesn't like Sublime? Hm? Who? Or how about LOC's version? If you know about the good, the bad, and the LOC, you need to PM me right now because its a rare occurrence running into a LOC fan. :p From all the way in the back of the food stamp lineeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
