I can't help you with that, I've never used 100% VG. This is also the first clearomizer I've tried so I don't know a lot about them either. Geez, I'm a real washout! lol Someone who is more knowledgeable about clearos and VG may come along and answer that for you. :)

Haven't gotten my Volt ones yet, But I've used 510 versions and they work fine with most 100% VG juices. Some of the really thick ones can be a problem, but for the most part they're fine. I've actually had more problems with really thin PG juices as they don't seem to soak the wick well enough and I get some dry hits with them.

Why cant they be cleaned, I have cleaned my stardusts up to four different times in one day. I love these so much because lf the esase of cleaning, no leaking, and ease of filling.

They don't "officially" recommend it generally because some people will do it incorrectly. They want people to get the advertised life out of them rather than kill them after a couple days trying to get an extra week or two out of 'em.
Plus, user error very often gets blamed on the vendor. The less people are encouraged to fiddle with them, the less user error occurs and the less chance they'll get a reputation for being of bad quality when they aren't.

I think clearos are next on my shopping list. I have tried other versions before and was not impressed- leaking, burnt taste, liquids thickening in the tube. Can I get a lil feedback from you fine folks?

In the older versions, I had noticed that my liquids would get very thick if I didn't vape them out in a couple of days. Are you seeing that with SI's version?

Anything in my pockets takes a beating, even in a hardshell case. Over a ml of liquid in my pocket at work would be a very BAD thing. Are these as "fragile" as older styles of clearos?

How is the vapor and hit on these compared to SI's standard cartos? (SI has the best 808 i have ever tried, but hey- a lil more is never a bad thing.)

And finally, are these best on a big batt, or are you getting equal performance on 78s? I'm not ruling out going bigger on the batts if they are fairly durable. Like I said, I'm pretty rough on anything I'm carrying around with me. :(

I use Volt and BWB tobacco liquids, if that makes a difference.

Thanks for any info you can offer, Volties!

I love my big battery, Firechick. I seem to get very, very good draw and vapor on mine (1300 X2 automatic). The clearomizer seemed better on the X2, but it worked well with my 78, too. Vapor was WOW. I get good vapor on the 78's, too, but I think it was a little better on the X2. My liquid was a 70PG/30VG mix, 0 nic.

Now, the con for me: I didn't like the plastic taste of the tip. This is my very first clearomizer ever, though, so don't take my word for these things. That is a pretty small "ick" for all the rest of it. Heck, I can actually taste the paper/wraps on most cartomizers, and when they begin to taste "soggy" to me, out they go. My taste buds are still waking up from quitting smoking and I think I'll be having an adjustment period for a while yet.

It worked great until about 0.4ml then I got the hint of a burnt taste.. just filled it back up and good to go. Been using it non stop since I received it yesterday and haven't had any problems with leaks. Purchased 3, have only tried 1 and filled it up 3 times. I'm sure it would be easier for my father to use but he tends to drop things so will need to figure out a way to hook it on a lanyard.

Also.. I have the largest battery and have had no problems out of it. It's working even better with the cartomizer.. perfect draw and lasts forever even compared to my 78s

A lanyard would probably be good for him, Gormy! I have a leather one for an eGo-T that I purchased on eBay. Works real nice for the X2 batteries!

I like the clearo on my 78mm auto, but it's the only 78 auto I have. The two other 78s are manuals and I don't use them very much. My 78 auto is raspberry and the purple clearo is a good match. Now I may have to get more clearos and also more 78s in colors to match. Oh joy! Another fun way to spend money. lol

Almost like taking a kid down the candy aisle at the grocery store huh.

that's fine.. it will just turn into more of a 55/45
Question about the cartomizer.. or a carto I guess.. I've been using 60/40 watermelon in my cartomizer.. should it be ok if I fill it with 50/50 if it's low and has a burnt taste or should I empty the remaining 60/40

if the tastes will not blend well you can just rinse them out and let them dry
This is probably a dumb question, but my first clearomizer use so please forgive me. Now that it's down to barely visible liquid, is there a recommended cleaning method before putting a different liquid in?
