Nice write-ups TK and Zap. It sounds like the clearomizers are exactly what I'm looking for. I'm a bit of a chain vaper myself and I'm getting pretty tired of filling up carts. I think I'll really enjoy being able to put in a few mL's of liquid and being done with it for a little longer. On both of your advice I'll go ahead and rinse them out before each refill so I can maximize my mileage on them.

It's good to hear that you're using 100% VG juice with no issues. One of my concerns was thicker liquid clogging it up. Thanks again for the replies. My tracking info says my X2 and clearomizers will be here today. Time to go stalk the postman. :mail:

EDIT: Just got my X2 and Clearomizers after 5 minutes with it I'm pretty pleased much better vapor production and a cleaner taste. I like it!
EDIT 2: The USB cord is a tad too short for my liking only around 2 foot. I'm sure I have some longer ones laying around that should fit though.

When you dry burn try thoroughly rinsing the ash from the coil crud afterwards. It doesn't take much of that to ruin the taste of a whole carto full. I learned that from the old Ego-T attys. The wick itself is hard to burn. Usually discoloration is from burnt niquid and not the wick itself. On the Egos I used to "flash" burn them clean with a Bic lighter then rinse the black crud out. Soaking seems to get most of it out as well. I'll rinse them out between fillings and may dry burn but at the price I don't plan on extensive rehab or rebuilding. The Ego-T attys were high dollar so I did work on them.

By cleaning them out on every other fill, I'm hoping to avoid the crud in the first place. Wish me luck. :)

Luck. I like rinsing them often as well. Helps keep the crud from building up so fast in the first place especially on the wick.

I've been loving the clearos so far, but today I left it sitting for a bit after I refilled it and came back
to find that it had dumped half the juice through the battery connection.

Up until now it has been working flawlessly, but I am a little concerned since I usually keep it in my
pocket or backpack.

Any ideas why? Or even better how to avoid the leaks??

TIA - hs

I've been using mine for about a week now, and am also finding liquid dripping out of the battery end hole. Not too much for me, just enought to make a gurgling sound when dragging on my PV. I have to unscrew the clearomizer, clean the battery end and clearo connection end, and then am good for a bit. Have to do this pretty often though.

hmm I am not really sure why that would happen....did you leave it in the sun?

Greetings gang
Been using the clearomizers and luv them. I admit Im a technological clueless old fool ..so when you day clean the clearomizer does that mean just taking off the mouthpiece, running hot water thru the top part thru the entire tube, blowing out the excess then letting it dry for a while. Im assuming if I put the tube under a hot water faucet water will go down both the inner steel tube and the plastic and that is ok after I blow it oout. Sorry for the idiot question but hey Im old.

Welcome, toup!

Yes, that is exactly the way I have been cleaning mine. Works great so far.

I finally received the clearos this week, and I gotta say they're incredibly awesome :)

IMO, the vapor and taste is 100x better than a regular carto. So clean, warm, and smooth...I can't seem to stop vaping from them! :vapor:

Props to SI for coming out with such a great product upgrade. I am completely satisfied with them.

I've been vaping my 1300 X2/clearo with SI's ice menthol for almost two weeks now. No issues, really appreciate not having to worry about switching batteries all day. I've refilled the clearo once; it's really convenient to be able to see the amount of liquid inside. I keep my device in my front shirt pocket when not in use and on the go; might be nice to have a pocket clip built into the X2, being as it is approximately the diameter of a magic marker.

I'm awaiting an order from Mrs. T's Bakery (my 78's are out on loan to friends with my sampler cartos), so my new 4 empty clearo's are waiting impatiently. Can't wait to try her Tangerine, Mango, cherry cola slushy, strawberry lemonade, Khula coffee and cream, amaretta coffee, banana fosters coffee, and peanut butter cookies.

I'm a bit confused. I had an issue tonight with one of my clearos.

I vaped it til it was almost empty (I was quite please at how far down the fluid level went before the slight burn started).
I then rinsed it out with hot water a few times.
I let it dry for about 15 minutes (I couldn't decide what flavor to put in next)
I filled it almost halfway with nicquid and had a few draws over the next half hour.
I picked it up off my desk and it fell apart into two pieces just below the mouthpiece and there's a crack down the side that's the length of the unit. I got two fills from it in two weeks.

Now, it's tempting to say "Well, the squirrel must have dropped it or rapped it against something." Not so. I've been uber careful with the X2s and the clearos. I want them to last as long as possible.

Now what I really need to know is what, if anything, I did wrong? I have 4 other clearos and I don't want to wind up with all of them falling apart on me.

Could it have been the hot water? It was tap water and it wasn't heated on a stove or anything.

Anybody got any ideas? I'm having really good and really bad vaping experiences lately and I'm not a glass half full kinda guy. (I'm more like "Who keeps drinking half my water?")

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

What flavor did you have in there? I've been reading up a little on tank systems, and am finding out that some flavors (like cinnamon and citrus) might have a tendency to crack the plastic. Maybe it's got something to do with that? Doesn't seem likely to me that hot tap water (around 120F max, right?) would be hot enough to do this kind of damage...but going from really hot to really cold might...but you let it cool down (before AND after the rinse), right?

Bummer! Sorry, squirrel! :(

Sorry, squirrel! :(

Well, it wasn't anything like cinnamon or citrus. It was a tobacco-type nicquid. And, yep, I did let it cool down for about 10 or 15 minutes before refilling.

I'm stumped, but keep the ideas coming!
