Voltage/Wattage Help Needed

Hello again everyone!! I finally took the plunge for my 8 week vape-anniversary (lol) & purchased a VV/VW mod. However, I have no idea what I'm doing and need some help!

Background info...I've been vaping using the regular egos & ego twist with viva novas & clearos. I purchased a smok Groove box mod. It kinda looks like the itaste box mod. I also purchased some cartos to try out but the problem is it tastes like its burning. Do I need to let it sit for a period of time so that the juice absorbs & how long would you suggest?

Mainly I just don't know what I'm doing it feels like. What's the difference between setting the voltage & wattage or do I need to set both? I guess I just need a dumbed down VV/VW tutorial. I know this has probably been addressed several times over but I just need some guidance on where to start.

Ok so I think I've kinda figured this thing out. Found a chart on here that's helped tremendously!! But I have one last question...where do you buy your cartos? I think I like them now that I've figured out what I'm doing.

I would let it sit so the juice absorbs. Set your device to either 5.5 watts or something low. Take a vape, adjust a little...repeat until you become familiar with the wattage you like. You could try with your novas or clearos too, VW will adjust for the ohms.

Relax, enjoy and don't worry if it takes a bit to find the setting you like.

I have a list of vendors that carry cartomizers in my blog (link under my avatar), but they are pre-punched for use in a cartotank. If you don't mind redirecting the links once there, you'll be able to find un-punched cartos from those vendors.

About the burnt taste in your cartos, maybe try shacking down the carto like a mercury thermometer as you're drip filling it so the juice gets to the coil quicker. Or what I do is use a syringe you can find on many of these vape sites to inject the juice deep into the carto directly to the coil. I’ll use a .... plug condom or hold my thumb to cover the threaded hole end so juice doesn’t come out the bottom as you inject it in. Saturates the wick right away so you can vape immediately.
