ok so im getting my first set up today its a 650 mah ego twist with a "low res" 2.1-2.4 ohm clearomizer - purchased at happy vaper imo great company by the way ! anyways so i wanted to know what the max voltage i should use with the low res cart is. I have heard that its 3.7 but then i saw this chart which suggest i should be able to go to a max of 4.1 safely. is this correct or is this chart a little off ? i know the sweet spot is between 6-8 watt so at 3.7 volt with a 2.1 ohm cart im getting about 6.5 watt which is ok (but still lower end but if the cart is on the 2.4 end that goes down to about 5.7 watt which is really on the lower side and im looking for a really intense vape - im an over a pack a day smoker and i like a really heavy throat hit ( i normally describe it as strong enough to kill your gramma lol ) when i get smokes that the throat hit is close to strong enough for me my husband coughs up a lung lol anyways any input would be greatly appreciated - i dont want to blow my atomizer prematurely.

1.5- 2.0 ohms= 3.3-4 volts
2.2-2.4 ohms= 4 volts and up
Basically attach your clearo and start at a low voltage. Turn the voltage up slowly until you hit your "sweet spot".

A very broad "rule of thumb" is to take the resistance and add 2 volts.
EG 1.8ohm vape at 3.8v

Of course it all depends on your delivery system and the juice (PG/VG ratio and the fact that some fruit flavours like less volts than heavier tobacco flavours).

With a VV device your best option is to start with low volts and gradually up it until you find the sweet spot, go past that until the juice starts tasting burnt and back down again. You will know what tastes best :)

If you enjoy clearomizers then I would suggest you look into the rebuildable ones. The heads (wick+ coil) are easy to replace (10 secs) and inexpensive ($1.50). My heads are lasting 10+ weeks. There are MANY different types of rebuildable clearos.
