Does anyone out there have an issue with the Voltrove wanting to whistle when they close down the AFC? I can vape with the AFC wide open but I tend to get a better hit when I close it off a bit but I can't stand the whistling on every hit so I've been running it wide open. If someone has had this problem and found a way to fix it let me know.

I heard someone say you could close it from the other side. Does that make sense? Like, if the left side of the airholes is open and it whistles, turn the ring so the right side is open instead. I don't have one...Just something I remember hearing and something that's worked for me with other attys.

The AFC on this is whatever is done on 1 side it's the same on the other so that wouldn't work. This thing is a giant beast! 41mm tank holding 20ml of juice and unless you open it wide open it whistles and I can't stand it. I'll find something out. Either that or just deal with not having the hit I'd like or close it off to have the hit I like and deal with the whistle. Thanks for commenting though.

No no no....I get it's the same on both sides. I'm saying if the air hole is a clock and it's whistling when you have 6-12 covered, try covering 12-6 instead. If you're covering 1/2 the hole...Cover the other half instead.

Oh I got ya. I've tried that and still whistles. I've tried to find a email address or contact info for Voltrove but I couldn't find any so I wrote an email to the company I bought it from. Hopefully they will have an idea that will work.

Strange I have three of these beasts and don't have any issues with whistling.

Really!?! This is my first one and if I close the AFC down just a tad it starts and happens no matter how much I close it down. The only way it doesn't happen is if it's wide open.

So you get a sound of air being pulled in. Mine actually whistles. The harder I pull the higher pitch and louder it gets. [emoji37]

Changing the air path might work. But the root of the problem is obstructions in the air path....... now soom are there by design. Ie the coil. Sharp edge on the air holes can also cause whistle.... the smaller that hole gets the more it might whistle.

Every build that I have had in the tank (probably 4 or 5 now) it has whistled. I have a Dremel with some bits that I can use to grind down the sharp edges on the AFC. I guess I'll try that and see if that works.

Be gentle... likely needs a good polishing more than grinding the edges.... don't forget the drip tip. Changing the bore size might help also.

So I buffed the AFC and it may have made a TINY difference. Got to open it up just a tad bit more without the whistle. I'm wondering if I grind down the inside of the AFC just a bit and see if that works.

Any edge or corner between the outside air inlet and the drip tip outlet could produce a whistle. Opening the air a bit will also.....
