Any one have an idea how far down the list he is.
I see where #5 says "working on them" .. but I don't know if that's from V, or the person is still
looking for a block
Looks like I'm waaaay down the list, so I guess it doesn't matter.
I'm keeping my eye on it, as I have a block I need to send to him, but I'm letting it air out.
It was sent to me too soon after the stabilizing process, and really stunk.
It's curing and the smell is going away, but I didn't want to send it to him while it still stinks
Have to keep telling myself "Patience is a Virtue"

Vaughan has said before to aim to have wood to him when you are tenth on the list. Allowing a week for customs to process + a week or two shipping

Caps are together, and 2 others started, feels great to be back in the shed! gotta get all the time I can in now, and get this thing rolling again! Progress pics coming in soon, magnets are in in nauti's caps, so will full shaped pics tonight. The 8 layer caps are stunning by the way...

Glad all is getting back to normal for you Vaughan! Anticipation for the 8 layer caps has been almost unbearable

Since I'm #45, I guess I've got until about Christmas, so the pressure is off

I figure I would just say it was a "stabilized wood block"
Think it will pass through??
I've never mailed anything outside the country
Would hate to lose it,.. there are tons of fantastic looking blocks, but not many that meet V's specs

Yep he's working on #2 for me Don't think it'll be Christmas for yours Vaughan might want to chime in here for an accurate estimate. As far as shipping I've always had the wood seller drop ship to NZ. Just shoot Vaughan some pics before you commit to get his approval

Nauti's 8 layer cap amboyna mod, ready for final prep sand and finish tonight! button and DT laminated up too, for assembly and turning tomorrow.

Pics never do these justice, but here it is. No 60, silver, lancewood middle layer, with rosewood, rimu veneer, and amboyna top and bottom.
