There is no cost difference with the silver switch, that is now a standard feature. The top and bottom caps would be around $50 cost for the silver so that will not be included with each mod at the normal price. Because the silver is non tarnish there will (should) be no reaction with the copper, and should not react with the battery either, will put some through it's paces and see just how 'non tarnish' it actually is.

I'm at work and haven't had a chance to do anything other than open it and take a couple of quick pics. Isn't it beautiful? :D

That's great news on the silver and agree albeit my two mods have been working great the buttons do slightly drop through use where the copper just doesn't flex back up fully. Great news thanks for the kind offer too Vaughan, top customer service.

Beautiful btobw, wait until you try it [emoji6]

I'm still waiting on my BF Derringer from chowderhead. In the meantime, I've been using a By Leo Dripper Pro with a pre-built 1.1 ohm coil. This is not ideal because of the bottom airflow - I have to back off the atty a fraction of a turn to get some air from the bottom. Even with the atty a little loose in the 510, it's making contact with absolutely no problem!

I work from home with well over a dozen mech mods sitting in front of me: GP Paps and and a couple of Paps X, GP Piccolo, Gus Lord, By Leo bOd mechas, Axiom hybrid, Drift M22s, Microsticks, Gizmos. All with 18350 or 18500 batteries.

But since getting my VR Wood mod, that's the one I've been picking up :D It's surprisingly light, and beautiful to hold in the hand.

This is my first squonker, so I'm still prone to press the switch when I mean to squonk (and vice versa) ;)but no major catastrophes yet.

I love this thing. Thank you, Vaughan (and your daughter!).

I don't have a VR mod "yet", but own a couple other sqounkers and can tell you your other mods will wind up gathering dust or being sold. I sold/pifed all my other gear. Once you sqounk you can't go back.

I have to confess I have a second BF atty in the pipeline and am already keeping a close eye on the squonking world :D

Sqounkers are an addiction for sure. I have a REO and 2 of pdib's mods. Now I want one by VR and one of apex's creations. Along with the ever elusive woodville. My problem is when I get a new mod I have to send the wife to Pandora for jewelry. And they said vaping was cheaper than cigarettes.

OMG! OMG! OMG! My new VR Wood Mod arrived today. Four days from New Zealand to Columbia, SC. I never expected it so soon.

It's going to be hard to add anything that hasn't already been said. These things are tiny, yet still hold an 18650 battery and 10ml of juice. Having other squonkers, what is amazing is the larger, softer juice bottle. It holds lots of juice and very easy to squonk. The bottle is softer than others but not too soft, still solid. I noticed the silicon tubing seems to be one size larger than tubing I've seen used in other squonkers. Oh and it hits like a beast.

Pictures don't even begin to capture the real beauty of these things. Plus you can see the attention paid to every little detail. Vaughan you are a true artisan. This is something I will truly treasure the rest of my life, even if I someday stop vaping I would still proudly display this work of art.

Great pair, from memory your VR mod is actually the smallest Vaughan has built wanting to see how small he could make one. My two are ever suck slightly bigger, about 2mm shorter than a peko, sure is incredibly small though. I love em!

That's right, it is the smallest, they can go smaller again with bone caps by another 2mm, but it all depends, each one is a different size by nature, as I only work by eye and don't do set dimentions, and often the stock dictates what can be done with it.

I have experimented further with the non tarnish silver by soaking it for 3 days in the most corrosive environment I can, and it is still bright and unmarked, so it's about as inert as I will find. The solution is steel soup, 0000 steel wool oxidized for 5 days in vinegar, which has made a real mess of the copper, and had no effect on the silver.

I have mixed this brew up for an experimental mod using oak, it will be sandblasted heavily and have sintered copper rubbed in where the sandblasting has eaten away the grain. The steel solution is brushed on and reacts chemically with the tannin in the oak, ebonising it to a very deep black colour. This will be a very interesting piece with a deep texture.

Here's a pic of the silver, not a good pic but you get the idea
