[VTC-mini,FW] Need suggestions

Processor is a Nuvoton M452 (ARM-Cortex M4), 128K ROM, 32K RAM.
Disassembled with IDA on PC. Cumbersome job, indeed.

Ah, a geek after my own heart. I've been out of the game for a long time now but have used IDA quite a bit in the past to crack code. I have to mention to the ones reading that haven't that it wasn't a wham bam here is your decompiled code. I assume it's still more of a here is a peek through a knot hole of what is going on. So bravo.

Ok this change came in 3.03, was different in earlier firmware versions. At any rate it is working.

New:
For people having a freezing clock on VTwo/Mini or even bricked box, the latest firmware may ressucitate the whole thing. This will not prevent your VTwo/Mini from having a real hardware problem, but she will at least be usable (and with an accurate clock).

The firmware is now compatible with all single-battery boxes from joyetech (VTC, AIO, etc) and even the Presa75 and reuleaux RX75 from Wismec.

If you downloaded the zip file, the firmware "myevic.bin" is in the bin/ directory. Its also in the bin/ directory on the github site.

Very interesting work. Any idea if it works on the VTC Dual? I would assume so, but it is a different battery config.

Nevermind....just read the README. Doh!

Also, I remember using IDA back in the day...but it wasn't for 'wholesome' purposes. Thanks for the work!

Every time I change the battery on my VTC Mini I lose the set time and date - is that the normal behavior of the firmware? I find it odd that the device will save all your vape settings (wattage, TCRs, etc) while the battery is pulled but the clock goes.

Unfortunately, yes.
Clock data is saved in... the clock, and if your box does not a a clock battery in the first place (like on a VTwo for example), the clock data may be lost if you don't change the battey fast enough (a few seconds, maybe 5~10).
Clock is not very reliable anyway on boxes not concieved to have one from start.
