HI all, like i said in my intro I'm pretty new to to mech mods. My question is, how far should I let my vtc4 drain down to? I have read some conflicting information. I let it get to 3.5 then stick on the charger. Is this where I want to be?
I have noticed a drop in performace after mine drop below 3.9v but that has more to do with my mod than my battery. When mine hit 3.8 or so they get swapped out and get dropped in the "to be charged" box. My Sigelei also reads .1v low so at 4.2 it reads 4.1.
Thats good to hear...I wasn't too sure if I could put on the charger at any given level..thanks everyone
Got it..One last thing. Is it supposed to read at 4.2 on a full charge correct? I have a battery that will read up to 4.10 is that ok?You can charge at any time. The generally accepted optimum voltage level for charging around here is 3.5v. Past that point it's not long before it drops to 3.4v and then on to 3.3v. Shorter charge times create less stress on a battery.

Good to know. I was hoping I didn't have to throw it away given its only a few weeks old. Thank!Technically, Yes. If you check it right off the charger it should read 4.2v, but your charger manual will tell you what the cutoff is. For some, you might read 4.16v or some other odd number. If you insert it into most VV mods it will be checked under the load of the atty resistance and read a fraction less. My Provari reads 4.1v every time when I put in a freshly charged battery.

If you get 4.1v or higher after charging, your batts are probably fine. That will drop over a year or so as you use them and they begin to weaken. The only issue is charge life. When you get noticeably less vaping time, start to shop for new ones.
You can extend the life by putting them on the charger as soon as you notice a drop off in vapor and flavor.
