Our Navigation System, in DH's car, screwed up for the very first time this a.m. going to Airport, probably from the SOLAR FLARE that is bombarding the earth today. NOT THE WORST THAT WE CAN GET, IN NEXT YEAR, RADIATION FROM EXTREME SOLAR FLARES THAT HIT THE EARTH. (Last two GIANT ones, more capable of knocking out satellites and power grid, were on the back side of Sun, away from earth.) Air flights over the northern earth region are being diverted, today and on, because of excess radiation that comes through the earth's polar, magnetic shields, during solar flares. We don't need navigation to get to the airport but he likes to see the miles/TIME left to our turn off and the traffic conditions. The system navigated us around the South entrance, 15 miles out of the way, to the North entrance. In 9 years that has never happened!!!!

DH wasn't concerned about radiation at 30K+ ft, as is always higher than on ground, and he is "old" and nearing the "end," and has "logged" a lot of X-rays without developing cancer, but rather the Airports' controls and AirCraft Navigation. He doesn't have to do the x-ray security machines because of Priority and Security status. And he's not too worried about his spermies any more.

No, he doesn't have a commercial license and doesn't work as a pilot. If he did we couldn't pay the bills as most commercial pilots are so underpaid, now days!!!!! (Fact.... look it up.) He flies commercial passenger, twice a week, to and from one of his jobs.

One of our mutual, most favorite planes, of all produced, is the DC-3. REO comes to mind. During WWII, he was a kid <10 years old, he was a major airplane geek. Our guest room book shelves have a nice collection of beautifully picture-adorned books on "Flight." I'm just a major geek in all things technical.

After living on pennies, during college, post graduate, medical school, Internship, surviving Viet Nam "war" service (a few didn't), 1st Residency, they all had high hopes of becoming rich. Some did; most didn't. DH didn't. The biggest "luxury" purchase we made was a Porsche 928. REO automobile equivalent. Never in the shop for anything other than being picked on by hit and run or vandals but the AC sucked in Texas Summers.

Buzzkill replied to my PM today and told me what he posted above about a cutoff. I then asked him if there had been any issues with battery longevity, loss of charge capacity, etc. with them being discharged that completely. He promptly replied that they have had no issues in that respect reported.

That's probably why I've detected, using the BP, a very subtle drop right before it shuts off. And I mean subtle; probably last hit before shutting off. I switch position of batteries, about every hour of use, so they both come out pretty close in voltage. Ones I took out, wee hours, today, and they were AW 16340 LIFePO4, 3v, 500 mAH, stopped at 2.40v and 2.34v. I've had four sets of those for a bout a year, that I got for stacking in other Mods, but used very little.

I, also, have a set of AW IMR 16340, 3.7v, 550 mAHm, a set of Ultrafire protected ICR123 3.7v, 750 mAH (I use those as singles in the GLV SuperMini), and a set of Mike's Powerizer Unprotected RCR123A, 3.7v, 650 mAh, (Mike's chip makes the unprotected safe) all I'm using in the BP. Also, four sets of Ultrafire Protected 18350 3.7 v, 1200 mAH, and I've had, ordered specifically for VV REOs (all though all the rest will work fine) 2 sets of AW IMR 18350 3.7v, 700mAH, never used. They will get christened in VV REO. The Roughstack takes the 18xxx, either single or stacked using the extension tube but (shorts stacked, if I am remembering right)................ I can't find my Roughstack. Only reason I'm stressing over that is I want to try the KICK in it. The Don takes single 18xxx single short or long depending on if you take one tube off to make it a Mini. I purchased the UltraFires in late 2010 but they haven't been used much. After falling in love with the REOs, in 2010, all other Mods have seen very little use, except for the Roughstack in Mini mode, for work in the woods. Who'd a thunk it...... I got it for working in the woods, as I wouldn't lose it if I lost it and.......... I've lost it in the house!!!!!!!

So I guess it was the battery, in BP, that actually did the shut off instead of the chip. See, folks, if you take a few seconds to switch the battery positions around, every hour or so, you won't be running one down too far if the battery doesn't have a working low voltage shut-off.

Thanks Mike. Really appreciate. In the wee hours, this a.m. I weakened and ordered another Phiniac tank for BP. It's a Tall Boy, sand-blasted, The Sea and Beyond. So even though we are planning on three VV Woodvils, BP is here to stay. Roughstack is for working in woods, and rubberized, outside and out, silverbullet style (14500 battery and can't be used with KICK), and Don are for loaners. Kick in loaner Don to help guide people to a VV REO purchase, if they want VV.

I may have to try the kick in a Grand, Polished or Tumbled, so I don't have to mess with the interior anodization. I'm not sure what battery to use with it though. Anyone???

Another great thing about the VV REO. I just refilled the Phiniac tank on BP, with higher % VG, than I've been using (I mixed it up for the 801 atty on 801 REO as thicker juices work better, for me, using the 801.) Anyway, same carto, in tank, that I've been using, with higher PG content juice, but I needed to turn the voltage down for the thicker juice, to make the flavor better.

So, for you DIYers, the VV will help to get the best vape when you play around with VG/PG percentages or those of you trying out new juices, or even to bring out the best of an old friend juice.

i may have to try the kick in a grand, polished or tumbled, so i don't have to mess with the interior anodization. I'm not sure what battery to use with it though. Anyone???

Yes, but you'd have to improvise a conductor from The Kick's ground to the Woodvil's ground.

With all the owners of the Buzz & BuzzPro by REOnuats we would have heard if this was a real issue.

A little while ago the BP stopped. The particular set of batteries didn't last as long as the others. They may have sat too long, in storage. Probably been at least a week since they were charged. AW LiFePO4 3v 500 mAh 16340. I did get the subtle hint that voltage was dropping because right before they stopped I turned the voltage wheel up just a bit. When I took them out they were 2.26v and 2.71 volt. They lasted such a short time, after about an hour of vaping, in past day, they only lasted a few minutes in the switched position.

As I've said before, I'm using the one year old LiFePO4s because I have them and they fit the Buzz Pro, 16 mm diameter. I'm getting much more vape time from the Powerizer set from NotCigs and the AW IMR 3.7v 550 mAH 16340 although they are about the same age as the LiFePO4s.

Using the 18340s in REO will be a nice step up.

I beg off by having the BP for only a little over a month, and having a bad Flu and then a cold for a month. I'm now more capable of observing and charting.

Thanks, I figured that one out pretty quickly. Have the Kick in the Don, now, using 18490. It fits perfectly. Using a carto tank on 4.5 inch silver gooseneck. After cleaning inside contact point of Don and sticky off of Kick top, it is working great. One thing...... It came set to highest. I turned it down all the way.... too cool but then blindly moved it up, clockwise, just a bit and perfect.

I'm really liking the VV BUT..... My REOs, with good AW IMR batteries, and the perfect carto/atty ohm, that I've found as my sweet spots, are virtually perfect, too. Some of the major advantages, for me, for the VV REOs is going to be slight adjustment of voltage for different juices, freshness or not of atty/cartos, and, also, being able to use my huge stash of attys/cartos that aren't quite as satisfying at fixed voltages.

I still haven't located my Roughstack!!!
