Not too sure but, I think it's Black Palm.

In case someone hasn't answered the second one in video appears, to me, to be Wenge. The Black Palms, two that I've seen, and I have one of them, is closer "grain" and less variation of grain widths. They are very similar in appearance and very close in color. Black Palm is far harder to work; a real ...... If I was Rob I wouldn't bother with Black Palm as they are so close in appearance.

I, too was of the mind to wait for the VV Grands, but these woods are just spectacular. I don't know if I'll be able to pass these up. Guess I may just have to get one of each.

Now that that is finalized... now which color to choose???????????? I'm in a quandary about which color Metal to choose. I may go with the Silver as it doesn't show dings and scratches very much and I think the VV Metal will be one of our "work horses."

Evening all, I was just catching up and ran across the newest VV Woody porn show...:hubba:

Mike, so very, very, very good to see you. I know this is the VV thread but wanted to let you know that Our Teak has not left my side since he arrived here. Also, I think he's a Momma's boy. I've given him and Red Stabilized plenty of chances to jump in the spa but they both refuse. I called them sissies but maybe they are just plain smarter than the rest.

Alice, save those attys I gave you for a VV Woodvil. They need a bit more voltage if you're partial to LR attys at 3.7 volts, like me.

The IKV 801's you gave me are standard resistance, so they're on stand-by for my VV Woodvil. I imagine they'll sing. :)

Ordered nic and a couple of flavors today. My first DIY attempts will be mostly VG. The PG will come from the flavoring and the nic.

801 talk here.

I thought the silver were 2.0. It doesn't matter what you use them with, though. The Black ones, SLB, should be 2.5-2.7 ish. I do much prefer the 1.8 IKV. I have some 2.5 and 3.5 IKV Semi. I know the 2.5 are going to be great with the VV but the 3.5 may be a little cool. Time will tell. Those have been waiting, over a year, for VV Woodvil. BTW... The short IKV 1.8, I referred to, is a perfect draw for me until it gets really hot, then if I put it down and use another REO, it will be fine for a few more minutes. The 1.8 I'm sending don't ever have tight enough draw for me. Only two right now.

Don't, then, go get tempted by the Phiniac tanks. If you do you might never get rid of the last remaining tube mods. Of course nothing can compare to the ease and durability of the REOs And the magnificent build and beauty but the tanks are fun. AND I haven't yet gotten the perfect vape from a good carto, in a tank, even on VV, that I get virtually all the time with the non-VV REOs.

I traded my brand new GGTS (never used but it sat here for months) with two tanks for two REOs and my brand new ProVari (never used and it sat here for months) for an exceptional Woodvil. I did pick up a Buzz Pro, same chip as in the VV REOs, because I just couldn't stand the wait.

Counting the days folks.......... 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 oh, the agony of the wait.

I did look at the phiniacs and seriously thought for a long minute about picking up one of the sandblasted ones. But I decided to just hold out for the REO vv and not put anymore money into the tubes.

Sale night is always been a source of observational entertainment for me so Pietro doesn't have to worry about me. Just watching the carnage is like box seats at the Roman Gladiator Games. :laugh:

I have a Provari with a Phiniac tank and its good, but I doubt I will use it much longer. :) :) :) :)

I was having some serious thoughts about picking up the Provari mini when they came out. But then I figured that would be just a waste of money once I get my hands on a REO vv. So, I'm still sitting on my pocketbook here waiting to give my money to Rob. :)

I really want to get a purple reo since he is doing that color again. BUT the wood ones are gorgeous and I don't own one yet! Darn it! I am sure I can swing one but not the other. :( Now I just have to decide. I own a grand and a mini reo metal...do I want another metal in my most favorite color??? The color I have been coveting since hubby first introduced me to reos? OR do I go for the gorgeous wood ones that I have yet to own?? UGH!!! Someone needs to help me make up my mind!

If he's doing the purple ones in vv maybe that would be the right one for you? Your favorite color with variable voltage?
