I have it in my brain that anything ultrafire or trustfire are going to catch on fire.
I forget which one has the bad reputation.
I've given this a lot of thought. My first VV bottleful is going to be 24mg 50/50 unflavored. I figure to break it in on a neutral note, so it'll be firing on all cylinders (in a manner of speaking) when I get to the first flavored bottle... which will no doubt be my current all-day vape, homebrew Cartoba mixed with BWB Malty Toffee.

ultrafire or trustfire are basicly the same company. Look at the title and then look at the name on the charger. LOL

Yeah, I've had a few AW IMR 18350 for several months waiting on VV Woodvils. The only thing they will fit, of my mods, is the VV Woodvils. Two sets are loaned out leaving me two sets so I ordered from Lighthound Sunday. They should be here tomorrow. There is a good possibility that REOnauts cleaned out Lighthound's supply of AW IMR 18350. (I have plenty of backup batteries in the form of loads of 16340s and some protected 18350s but the AW IMR 18350 is going to be the best.)
This has happened with other vendors, over past year and a half, when new REOs are released.

it's already there I posted it when I first mixed it because it was soooo good but since my first batch I've played around with the % lowered the CDS and upped the AP

One of them I'll fill up with my fave DIY mix of Jamaican rum, gingerbread and mint. The other one will get filled up with a lemon meringue pie/coconut DIY mix. I don't think I'll put anything in the curly oak woody at first. I'll probably just stare in awe at it for awhile.
Boy are you all in for a treat once they arrive. These REO VVs are great. They can get the best performance from your different attys and the best taste from all your different juices.
For sure. (I have VV experience with a Kicked Don and a Buzz Pro but have to use damned tanks with them and they don't travel well.)
Yesterday I was having a bad carto day. We have culled our "within easy reach" cartos to 510 Smoktech 1.7 ohm, standard and Resurectors. I went through three black standard sized and several batteries before I realized, last night, that I had put a box of 2.0 Boges in with the 1.7 Smoketech. 2.0 at 3.7v just doesn't do it for me. If I had been using a VV Woodvil, instead of Woodvil, a tiny turn on the wheel would have fixed my vape right up.
DH left the house yesterday and mistakenly put a dual coil on his Mini. He had four of the newest AW IMR 14500. He came home late last night complaining that the Mini had issues. If he had taken a VV a simple dial of the wheel would have fixed him right up.
I really look forward to using up all the higher ohm cartos/attys that have been "en stash" for a year or more. VV Woodvil means stash clean out time.

I don't mind carto tanks I actually kind of like them with a 3 ohm boge on a provari but I am looking forward to getting back to using more atty's I always use attys on my Reos
+1 Agreed! Before I got my REO VV I was using the WoodChuck VV to see if I even wanted to get REO VV and not another regular Woodvil. I could have used that beautiful red stabilized wood block for another Woodvil. After experimenting with different voltages and different attys. My mind was made up...it had to be the Tesla.
Its been a week and I still can't put it down. You all are in for a great treat!!
If both of my WF-188s hadn't been sent to recycle after early demise, of both, in after a very few months of use and I was still using one I would keep very close watch on it, frequently testing batteries before and after charge, and not use it near any flammables.
After having two WF-188s go bad on me, each in less than a couple of months I'll never recommend one again. The first one was a physical breakage. The second one, one bay started varying voltage, up and down, and discharging AW IMRs. Closed that bay off. Soon after the second bay started doing the same thing and actually killed several old AW IMR 14500s by draining them to 0 volts. One wouldn't expect both bays to do that as they are supposed to be totally separate channels. I've had several different chargers and none have ever done that. I see a potential fire hazard in that "action." Now..... I have a >10 year old WF-139 that is still charging as reliably as it did when new.
Wasn't it a WF-188 that Tripp was using when he had a battery "explosion?" It may have been user error, though.
I, personally, won't be buying any more WF-188, nor recommending them.
A whole bunch of people who have several different brands of chargers will comment that they feel like a piece of junk. That includes one vendor who said that to me in an email but only carried them because of demand.
Of course all chargers and batteries have inherent risks involved charging batteries but I think the QC and construction of the WF-188 is shoddy. I don't have experience with the newer WF-139; only the old one. The cheap chargers I purchased from China "felt" more substantial than the WF-188. I used them for several months before purchasing first WF-188 along with my trusty old WF-139. Never any problems with them. (I liked the selectable mAH switch and the selectable voltage on the WF-188. That's why I purchased them in the first place. Lower mAH, slower charging is better for Lithium chemistry batteries. )

{edit} We've been using rechargeable (and primary) Lithium chemistry batteries, in tactical lights and headlamps, for many years. I've gone back to Ni-MHd batteries, for head lamps, as they are safer.
