[...] nothing but air cooled [...] but I prefer my 69 Bug,

Sure. Vapor lock and a mouth full of gas to spit in the carb is so much nicer than check engine lights... ;)

veedub drivers do stick together though. Never found nicer people in my life than whenever my bug was broke down. A busted bug just attracts bug lovers.

Amazingly, the USPS has both ...... me off mightily and warmed my heart today, all in the span of about 10 minutes. Having received notice that it's expected to deliver on the 3rd, I called the customer service line to find out if I could have it intercepted at my branch and be picked up after work instead of failing an attempted delivery. After weaving through the automated maze (voice activated, the worst automated phone system of them all) for far too long, I got a customer service rep who made me rattle off the tracking number twice only to tell me that what I wanted was impossible - the delivery had to fail before it could be held. Bah. I hung up and called my local branch and explained the situation to a guy there. He took my info and said it'd be there for pickup on the 3rd, no problem.

Disco. If I was still a drinkin' man, I'd raise the next shot for the post office.

Did you happen to mention you were turning ECF Veteran that day? I am sure they would have brought it to you at work! That is YOUR day Dave!
What a great package to receive for your turning!

We have a supposedly aggressive boxer. He just does his job! So I have my mail delivered to a PO Box. Just easier to separate the junk from the important stuff. Haven't got the 18350's yet, but have some 16340's that will work till then. Now to decide on some good juice. Not really counting on the USPS to be on time.

Which side is the right way to use spacers? Left or right? These little spacers have a button top on one side of them. Intuitively, I think the right side is correct because the button top is against the flat side of the battery. Used on the left side, either way I turn it I have a button top against a button top(either the Pila button or the battery button.)
