That doesn't make sense....have you metered them? Where did you get them?

i havent metered them as i dont have a working meter. the first 2 i bought from i believe lighthound?? they sat around brand new for a month or so before i got my vv. for some reason they didnt work when i got my vv but for like 15 hits then stopped. the other4 i got from rtd last week. they came uncharged and both of the first 2 charged fine and went finefor a day or so. when i loaded 2 new ones in they wouldnt work but said they were charged on charger. the ones i took out only 1 would charge..the other said it was charged already even after being used all day yesterday. im just about to put the one that charges back in the vv to see if it works again.
Without a meter you won't be able to find your issue. But I would go with the batteries are good, chargers aren't performing to specs. 3rd issue could be a loose wire/solder in the VVW.
so you think both chargers are malfunctioning? they work great on my 18650s and that one particular 18350. im willing to try anything at this point
I'm not sure, but a meter will tell you everything you need. It is strange that they work, then don't. That always leads me to wires and connections. But 1st is battery voltage, charger voltage.
I agree, Mike. Getting a multi-meter will help you find the issue. They are really inexpensive and can be found at any hardware store. I recommend getting one with a digital display.
yeah, it bites the one i bought off classies doesnt work. it powers on but gives no reading. i even took it to radio shack to see if they knew what was wrong.
my options are 3.7 and 3.2 for voltage and 300 ma and 650ma
it has always been set to 3.7 and 650ma
Here is what I think is happening your 18650s are long and there is plenty of spring tension witch is giving you a good contact . make sure when you put your 18350 in your charger you apply a little pressure on the negative arm of the charger. I have one of these chargers and the spring can stick not allowing good contact with shorter batteries . As others have stated a voltage meter is a must this could save you lots of aggravation
thanks rob, ive tried that to see if i could make them make contact and no luck except for the lone one that will always work. this is blowing my mind as to why this is doing this.
my vv has the one good one in that will charge and another random one and im blowing clouds again.

Mike I use the same charger with no problems but I would also recommend using the 300mA setting it takes a little long to charge them but from what I've read and heard from others its better to charge them slower then faster just my

You can always make a spacer with aluminum foil if the charger contact is an issue.
I had trouble w/ the WF188- I pitched it after it sparked and died.
My WF-139s also started having trouble (over-charging) and I don't use them anymore, except sometimes to get some charge on the battery as I already have a couple batteries on my Xtar- then I transfer them over to the Xtar for the final charge.
The green light will stay on (as if charged) on the WF models if the voltage drop on the battery is too low- the charger thinks it's a defective battery and never turns the light red to indicate that it is charging it. Like everyone said, a multimeter is what you need to make sure- Harbor Freight has decent digital ones for about $8. RTDVapor has a couple of really good ones too- I bought their smaller on- works fine!
I'm much happier with my Xtar chargers from RTDVApor- they can actually "repair" the over-drained battery from what I've read but in the over-drained condition, those batteries might not be any good now. YOur mileage may vary.
