Dear Robert Sir , i have recently started following the Reo thread and do put in my 2 cents worth sometimes .

I am happily surprised at the amount of effort that you put into every mod that you make , I have come across a lot of vapors saying " ah its just a simple aluminum box " with a tube and a bottle ... i really wish they could see the amount of time , effort ,thinking , planning ,energy, ground work and money that goes in before the " simple aluminum box " hits the market .

I see that Every little millimeter has to be taken into account while designing it , and if anything goes wrong it would be you who would be stuck with hundreds of defective pieces amounting to a loss of hundreds of $$.

I feel this is nothing less than designing a aircraft or a Pentium chip for a computer .
I am sure you will come up with a button that will be the best option for all of us . I wish you luck in finding " just the right one " .

wishing you well
warm regards
Sahil .

Can I sign this too? The last few pages have been little but suggestions from folks (myself included), but when it comes down to it, if we could do it like 'ole redeye, we'd already BE doing it. Cheers to the master mod maker.

My two cents on the button. I think the button should have a nice soft tactile feel. It shoudld be side mounted as well. The button should be recessed so as not to turn on easily when placed in a pocket. I believe its essential that it comes in two versions. ...a male version and a female version as people might have trouble with it only one were offered. I've done a mockup for Rob that might be helpful. What say you?

That's a nice one Tim. I thought about putting it in the Timeline thread! LOL.

Let me clarify. I like the surface mounted button and where it's positioned. I could also like the recessed version but would prefer the button to be larger than the one pictured. And clicky. :D I understand it couldn't be quite the size of the side mounted woodvil style button, but the small nubby button seems small and nubby.

If I could hold it in my hand and try it, I might totally change my opinion, but you set up shop way too far north for that.

Whichever route you go, I'm confident it will work great and feel great. :)

I really like the recessed button. Not my problem, but some people have some really long fingernails. Wonder about them. Probably won't be an issue as those people seem to be able to type on a keyboard; don't know how though.

Hugs, Alice

The recessed button looks a lot better but, it would also be nice to have a thumb wheel on top to adjust the voltage IMO.

Disagree. It would be too easy for it to get moved while carrying and it might be a dust and muck collector and an entry point for debris and moisture and juice to the circuit.

Hugs, Alice
