VV/VW that doesn't look futuristic? Looks more like a mech?

So I know this is probably a moot point, but I've noticed most VV/VW mods look very futuristic. Compared to mechs which look more streamlined and stylish, they're almost too Year 3000 looking to use with most RBAs.

Does anybody have a regulated that doesn't look like a lightsaber handle or a sonic screwdriver?

Does anybody know of one?

I love regulated mods because I can change tanks or RBAs during the day without worry and just adjust the mod. Don't have a lot of experience with mechs, and honestly don't really like the idea of me being bad at math as what makes sure I don't blow myself up.

I love the way mechs look though. Is there a happy medium?

I had actually seen those earlier. Not knocking box mods, I have a MVP and a eLVT. I might get one of the isticks down the road, but I'm looking for something more along the lines of a TOL or King mod in looks, but regulated.

My big thing is like the nice RDAs like TOBHs or Crowns or Patriots, etc look kinda funny on most regulateds.

That was going to be my suggestion. Not quite as simple to adjust as a tube VV like a Zmax, Provari, etc..., but it will definitely get the job done and still allow the OP to choose the mech of the preferred style.

Like "Papa" suggested .... Get yourself a standard 22mm mechanical tube mod and install a 'Kick' module in it.

Caravela 22mm diameter mod clone with a Kick ... Use the 18650 tube and you can install both the Kick and a 18500 battery.

I think many regulated tube mods look plain enough ... like the Vamo, Provari, Evic, Semovar, and many others. But a screen can hardly be avoided, and some of them have three buttons as opposed to one. The Cool Fire 1 is a notable exeption, pretty mech-like with one button and no screen, but then again you're stuck at 8.5W.

The Kick is a good idea if the mech mod look is exactly what you're after.

A Sigelei Zmax flat-top is not really "futuristic" looking; one-button interface, and the screen is small.

A Kick in a mech is a good choice if you basically stick to one wattage setting, but because you have to open the battery tube to adjust it, it's not nearly as convenient as a regulated mod, if you like to fiddle with your wattage setting a lot. And one protection that it does NOT provide is reverse-polarity protection -- if you put the battery in backwards, it will fry the Kick.

A Vamo is good choice because there's a wide selection of wraps for them, and some of those wraps are "wood grain", I've even seen a wood-grain wrap for a Vamo that is "textured".

I know what you mean about the look of regulated mods versus mechs. Personally I'm with the mech plus a kick group. The kick allows you to have a great looking mod with the benefits of vw

I'd look into a mech like the turtle ship, which has two separate extensions(1-15mm(18500), 1-30mm(18650)- both used- 18650+kick)...but honestly, I personally wouldn't use a mech like that...you'll get decent enough battery life running an 18350+kick, so I wouldn't trade that extra size for battery life.

But the best looking regulated mods I know of:

Svoemesto Semovar- Probably the cleanest of all regulated mods...cleaner than a lot of mechs too..(they should also have a mechanic switch made for it soon, but they're too busy making stupid drip tips that screw into each other)...what I like best about it= if you put a voltage or wattage that doesn't match up with the ratings/resistance of your build, it will give you an error until you get back in the range of the mod.- makes you learn, or use it as a paperweight.

Wizard evolved- The tittanium version is a little pricey(~$500), but the SS version looks and functions the same for much less..it is 21 mm in diameter if I'm not mistaken though.

Box mods...I love my IPV2's constant power..

Man, that Kmax looks totally futuristic.
I looked high and low...they almost all look like light sabers, to me.
I ended up going with the X Gun.

Apparently I'm not the only one in this boat! Glad to know it's not just me being picky.

I love regulated PVs because of the ease and convenience of use (oops, I loaded a juice that burns easily, just knock it back a few watts), but love the clean and stylish designs of mechs (ooh, pretty!).

Totally didn't know about kicks. My local shop is "MECH!" but I don't think they've ever mentioned them. I may have to look into them further. Granted, I don't like the idea of having to take it apart to change settings, but can't have your cake and eat it too.

Will also look into the devices everyone mentioned so far. Don't think I'm trying to purchase asap (just got a box mod for me and one for bf not too long ago), but it's nice to know what I'm looking for if I happen to stumble across one on sale!

There is also some big and stupid looking 510 adapter that works just like a kick...but it defeats the purpose of using a mech and kick..I think.. Unless you like a big >15mm chunk of SS sitting on top of your mod...edit-someone say what that thing is...
