Hey Mike,

I am going to get this stuff down while it is fresh in my mind.........praise and criticism are interspersed, sorry about that!

1. I'm sure you know you need a better dial, wider and easier to move, a little tighter in the case.

2. I dislike the firing button's size, I think about a 1/4" diameter would be better.

3. I love how it is ambidextrous.

4. The bottle thing works well; a click-in cover might be better than magnets, I hate how they wear out in some mods.

5. I would like it to flash when fully charged.

6. If you are going to have a 901 connection (I like 901s so its all good for me!) I think having a drip shield option would be a good selling point. At least a catch cup would be a good idea.

7. Like other feeder mods, extra bottle and tubing with each one would be a plus.

8. I'm a heavy vaper, I got about 7 hours from a charge using it about 80% of the time.

9. I blew two LR attys in the first half hour ; using a standard one no problems, consistent taste. I'm a dumbass for trying the LR attys when I am playing with the dial.....

10. I love the slit to see how much juice is left.

11. DON'T MAKE IT HEAVIER. This is a pocket mod, it will go flying from dude's shirts if it gets any weightier, been there, done that.

12. On/off switch needed -- that's on the production one I know.

13. The feel, the size, the button locations -- all good.

14. Car charger availabilty would also be a plus.

That's my impressions after a day, I would buy this new and that is about the best praise I can give anything. You were smart to send this to me, it does fill a large hole that tube mods cannot fill, its very stealthy and carry-friendly, you have my interest piqued for sure. I hope this is quite a bit cheaper than the (another mod), its what I imagine the (another mod) is at 1/3 the size -- and I'd rather control the juice myself anyway!!! Seriously, I have tried boxes up the ying-yang, I hate the taste of bottom feeders, even with the (another mod) -- but I like this box. This top feeding is the way to go and yours is a 100% better appearance than the (another mod) -- and I was a long time ....... owner before becoming a GG fanboy. These will fly off the shelves when the time comes, they are so made for the work environment.

Is that the kind of feedback you require? I have never been a tester before.......

The hippie on the plains,
John

Ok I received the VVPV from Ruppy last week and it on its way to Mist now.

My 2c:

Being a juice mod person and using my buzz for dripping, this is the best of both worlds.

I Love the size and it looks like in its finished state will be a very pocket friendly unit.

The body fits well in the hand and is easy to use both right and left handed. I could add juice just with my index finger from ether hand. I Love that. I vape left handed at my desk and when on the road right handed. This is a big plus for me.

I like the placement of the switch and the VV controls both easy to get to.

Vapor production on the VVPV was excellent. I ran 100% VG juice with no issues and with several different attys from 2.0Ω to 3.0Ω, 510 and 306 using a 306 to 510 DT adapter; with every one of them being able to hit my sweet spot in seconds flat.

Battery life was outstanding. I got through the bottle of juice with one charge running it with a 2.0Ω atty at about 4v or so.

Suggestions:

1) Could use a Master On/Off switch; always nice for traveling.
2) Would like to see some form of catch cup.
3) A coupler for the juice hose that would lock in to the top of the atty like a DT and then have room to install you own DT. I found that sometimes the juice would hang up in the DT.

Other than that, in my opinion, it will be one of the best juice fed mod’s on the market and I will be picking up at least two for myself.

Its been a honer to be on a long list of great people testing the VVPV

Keep up the good work Mike. :thumb:

THanks Mx , the final prduct will have a master On/Off switch built into it , I am also looking into a catch cup around the atty as well or a drio type shiel or ?? , I found some rt. angle brass feedthrus way back when I have to look them up again ! I might even make a special DT for it ?

Good to hear, I am glad to have had the opportunity to test it out and that my input may have been of some help.

I know RIP I've read 3 of them now. One from you, one from Bianca Montgumery, and one from Mike but hey that's a good thing because he wants the reviews.

OK, so here I go... First, though... a comment.

I don't like box mods... never have, probably never will. So obviously, The VVPV isn't a Box Mod.

So the VVPV arrived, all charged and ready to go.... I was pleased to see a 901 connector, because I LOVE 901 attys for dripping, as they are pretty much useless for anything else in my experience and BOTTOM feeding a 901 is problematic, leaky SOBs that they are.

But I digress...

THE VVPV ARRIVED, and I unboxed it, put on a HV901 and looked in the box for the fitting to put the tube into atty, and none existed... drat... I had to wait... Once I arrived home I modified a drip tip and started to use the PV...

WOW, IT FEELS GREAT IN THE HAND.... The voltage dialed in fast and I was enjoying amazing, lush and delicious plumes of vapor! I'm back to the feeling good in the hand part.... this is an ambidextrous PV... it works well in either hand. At times I wished the trigger button was on the side, at other times I wished it was on the top, only bigger, but in general, and with those caveats, it feels great to use.

IT ALSO FEELS GREAT IN THE POCKET! I've never had a true pocket PV... this was a real treat... shirt pocket, pants pocket, jacket pocket.... all very nice and comfy. And it slides out of the pocket for use pretty nicely too, and always seems to land in a useful position.

So let's talk about the pump plunger. I know this is a prototype, and a rough draft at that... but the screw/nut/plunger was really tricky. It got cockeyed easily and when it did, it pushed the bottle cover off. This was kind of a pain. The pump bottle works great... really great... but the plunger not so much. Yeah, I know... I cannot leave ANYTHING alone and I couldn't help myself... I hit the basement machine shop and turned a new plunger button, opened the hole to receive it, and problem solved. The pump now works flawlessly.

So how does it vape? WHY ASK? It's by NOTCIGS! The new circuit really pumps out the current as needed, driving every atty and carto (yes, I put a carto on it!) and the vaping time is pretty solid. I never seem to get the long vaping times everybody brags about, I'm satisfied with an average of 5-6 hours on most loads, and this delivered that in spades! The vaping experience is on par or better than a certain digital display tube PV I have, only it handled dual coil cartos BETTER and LR attys EXCEPTIONALLY well, though I vastly prefer HV attys on variable devices... offering a wider range with less fragile settings.

OK, it's time to charge this ungainly little plastic charmer... I plugged the charger in, watched the charger light change from blinking to solid, and a VERY short time later (couple hours maybe) the PV was charged... nice... and we started the cycle again.

SO, how do I feel about it?

I enjoyed it, and think the form factor shows GREAT promise. The size is perfect for me, and it works really well.

PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES:
SIZE: Good
SHAPE: Very Nice, quite good
CONTROLS: Switch placement, As stated above... small and on the side or larger and on top would be preferred... but leaning towards larger and on the top. Voltage dial, could be larger. Plunger for juice... needs to be my design... lol... I'm serious!

PERFORMANCE:
LR attys and cartos: Good... fragile balance of too much and too little... the device drove the LR loads just fine, but the limited resolution of the 3/4 turn small dial pot is really noticed when using this PV... It's not the PVs fault... but it needs to be mentioned. LRs are not the best choice for VV, in my opinion, even if you LIKE them.
Standard: Quite good... really good range of settings, sweet spot easy to dial in... Just works well.
HV attys: This is where this device really shines! Getting that voltage up there really opens the door to a great vaping experience.
Battery Life: Pretty darned good for what it is... exceptional even... BUT, I vape HEAVY and HARD... and I have NEVER been able to get the life out of a battery that most people claim. I get about a half a day on average from the VVPV... that's roughly 5Ml... If you vape 5Ml per day, this will last you all day, if you vape 2.5 Ml per day this will last you TWO days... If you vape 10Ml per day, it will last a half day... it is what it is... better than some PVs... worse than others... BUT it IS better than the original Buzz and WAY better than the first generation Infinity.

Closing Thoughts

No device will be all things to all people, and this device is no exception. I personally dislike box mods... especially squeeze bottle bottom feeders. But this device doesn't feel like a box mod, and it feeds MUCH better than a Squeeze box. I both LOVE and HATE Dripping. LOVE the taste... HATE the process, and the VVPV solves this without exception. The bottles are easy to refill and last long enough to make it to the recharge time, so when it's running, you have juice. Charge break and refill break are close enough together to consider it simultaneous, and that's a HUGE plus. This delivers Dripping flavor without dripping hassles.

I did not overflow any of the attys tested... not even once, so for me... While having one would do no harm, I see no need for a juice cup... others may not feel the same as I do about this, and probably will not.

This is going to be a great little PV, and I look forward to owning one ASAP! I MAY actually have to consider being nice to bottom feeders as they watch the value of their difficult to obtain Minireowetbox-a-mus plummet!
